Will you eat ice cream if you have colds?

I'd eat ice cream anyday of the week. When it's hot, when it's cold, what the heck.
Cold constricts the blood vessels, thereby reducing blood supply to the affected area. Less blood supply and therefore, less leucocytes and less antibodies to fight infection.
Having a cold causes a lot of discomfort. I'd comfort myself with a bowl of ice cream and dream on. Anyway ice cream does not really get that cold when it gets in the mouth, does it?

You shouldn't eat ice cream or any cold drinks when your sick at all. It makes you worst. You explained about cold that constricts your blood vessels reducing anti-immune response and if you add up ice cream what do you think would it do? You are already in a state of weakness and you indulge yourself more of Cold foods, that will surely sore up your throat then making another complication. I'd stick to cold fruit juices instead of ice cream but as much as possible don't drink Cold or any food that is cold when your sick..

Eating ice cream is a pleasure. If you have strong immune system, I don't think eating ice cream will make your colds severe. It will only make you feel even 'colder'.
There's really no problem in what you want to do, so go ahead. One piece of advice, though. Choose your ice cream carefully, make sure you eat healthy ice cream. If you can make it at home from fresh fruits, then that's the best you can get.

Hi, snowhybiscuis. I have been always told that it is not so good to eat ice cream when you have a cold. It will make it worse. It is best to eat and drink only warm, hot and room temperature drinks when you have a cold. It is better to eat foods and drinks when it like this.

yes, i will still eat ice cream though i have colds.. for me it is my form of medicine...eating ice cream, i feel like, my colds stop and gone,,, hehehe

I love eating ice cream specially when i was still a child which is why i had experienced eating it even when i had colds. At first my colds was not that bad so i felt OK. On my second try when i really was not feeling well due to colds, it worsen after eating ice cream. Its the reason now that i don't anymore eat ice cream when i have colds coz my throat really hurt during that experience. I ended up being absent in school for 3 days and taking antibiotics aside from my colds medication.
