Sign of Spring?

This morning I noticed a ladybug out for a leisurely stroll across my bathroom window. Can spring be far behind? Have you noticed any harbingers of spring yet, or is it too early?

We had a little bit of sun again today, and some melting, but raw wind coming off the lake to cancel it out.

The daffodils have been up for a few weeks now, so spring is not far behind. Actually we had April weather for a couple of days, but the rain is back for now...

That's nice. I suppose I could go to the supermarket and get some forced bulbs if things don't start popping up here soon.

I don't think of spring when I see ladybugs. I see them in the fall when it gets cold and they come inside to get warm. They do come out of hiding at points during the winter when it warms up a bit. I haven't seen any lately. We still have houseflies, very sleepy flies, hovering around in our house.

The flies are easier to swat when they're sleepy, don't you think?

I am watching the snow falling outside and wishing for Spring. By now my crocus bulbs should be showing above ground, but so far they have stayed firmly underground out of the bad weather.

I guess your crocus know you've been having "real" winter weather...

Hey Barbara! I wish that I noticed a sign of spring already! I don't think that a ladybug or any other little critter could find it's way out of the snow here in NY to even try to pop it's cute little head out yet! But, I am try so hard to be optomistic! I can't wait for all this miserable dirty white stuff to be gone! I want it to be spring already!

Well, the sun's trying real hard to shine, so it may just well be a great day.
