Stress affects you? how do you manage it?

The stress has been a problem for many people that I know all their life, including myself, I have struggled with stress all my life to the point that I get nervous about everything. With the years I have learned some techniques to be able to live my life in a better way. I would like to know what are your stress management strategies, do you have one?

If I get stressed, most especially at work, I just think of happy thoughts. In a day I'm sure there is at least 1 or 2 happy things that took place. I try to focus my attention on those things and not mind the bad ones.

I get stress due to some people and work with them, so i keep calm and maintain some distance with them quite few days. I also try to analyze the incidents or events for which i get stressed. Then the stress automatically goes off. Sometimes i do yoga which completely wipes out the stress during that day.

Normally when you get involved with someone and they don't meet your expectations then it starts to stress on out. So my advice is that we should not get involved with anyone so much. If you will earn your own money and pay your own bills and be totally self-dependent.... you'll never feel stress.
