When you go to DFA to get your passport, be aware on dealing with unknown person. There's a lot of "fixers" roaming around outside the DFA office. Go straight inside DFA office.

those fixer outside DFA are hard to stop because anyone who wants them out would get their fist... one time my friend was working in DFA as data encoder he told me a story regarding his co-worker who just stare with one of the fixer outside...late in the afternoon as he goin home he saw his co-worker being hit by those men outside and nobody wants to mindle...poor guy!

I agree but i don't know why the government still allows these fixers to roam around streets and continue courting people to pay them and have their passport fix. groups of people were already arrested for these crimes, and there was even a commercial about an OFW didn't make it to the plane since his passport was fake

I really appreciate this being implemented by DFA to process passports as fast as possible. I haven't availed of this yet but I think the express delivery was a good move for them to avoid overcrowding in the main office just to claim and process their passports. But I still think you need to go to their office to show yourself and for the picture taking. I think that is a necessary step to authenticate that you are really you.

hi there rsa! i renew my grannys passport recently and the processing is you have to submit all the requirement ., like passport pictures, original photocopy of your passport and photocopy of latest departure and arrival if travelled. if you have all these requirement you just need to call their hotline number 737-1000. a customer service rep will attend to your call and ask you some info for your application. then they will schedule you for picking the documents then you have to pay 1,300pesos for the processing fee. it will took 12 to 13 working days before they will deliver it to you. there is no appearance for 60 years old above. so this is really convenient.

Hello myliez, Yes, I agree it was really hard before and not to mention i was still lucky because the firs time i had my passport processed it was lenient, except when i renewed it. it was more inconvenient because we need a liaison to speed up the process, most specially where i had replaced the lost pass-port. . i did heard about this call center, which was planned before and am glad it's finally been put into practical application

Wow..this is really good news. This new update regarding the processing time for application renewal would be of great help especially to our OFWs who have less time to spend in doing the whole process implemented before. Hope that this would be applicable and implemented also not only in the Philippines but to all Philippine consulates all over the world. I'm looking forward to experience this new techno advancement when I'm going to renew my passport by next year. Happy mylotting.

Its great for DFA having these kind of services for the people, very convenient and suitable for people who don't want to wait for a long time falling in line with other applicants. It was very frustrating that you have to get through that situation and if you don't have the right documents or you just missed one, your application will be rejected and you'll have to go back on another day. I hope this EPDS will give the people a much better service for processing their passport applications with no hassle and less frustrations.

I haven't tried applying for a passport here in the philippines. I just know that it has alot of difficulty applying for this due to restriction being implemented. As far as I know, from the validity of pictures, up to the important documents such as duplicate copy of NSO certified birth certificate, NBI clearance, and many more. The time, money, and patience you spent to this when applying is very huge. With the new implemented system, I hope this will be very convinient as the time goes by. DFA also needs to minimize those incident of fake Passports by having a fast but secure ways of doing it. I'm not sure how secure this kind of application of passport but I know, DFA has a solution for this. Thanks to DFA in advance for making it more convinient to the Filipino people.... :)

The first time I applied for a passport I was rejected because they said I need one more document something. Then when I came back, I never thought it would be as easy as that. ^_^ Here in our region, the DFA branch has a studio just right outside the building. It would be easier because they know how exactly it is to capture an ID for passport. On the other hand, about EPDS, the last time I visited their site, it was only available for Luzon area. I don't know now. And also there is still a part that needs you to appeal there personally. This will best suit for people who have less time to wait and have busy sched. Other than that, I think it is better to wait and pay less. :)
