hello fellow mylotters! Someone is allergic to a cold environment which she only noticed it 2 years ago. When she is in a cold environment she starts to have rashes in her body. She was prescribed with an anti-allergy medication which gave her a relief. Her problem now is that she is pregnant so she can't take the anti-allergy medicine and that her work place is airconditioned. Any tip to help her with her allergy?

My nephew is also allergic to cold environment. Every night, he has to pout on some thick clothes and a bonnet to protect himself of the coldness of the air. If he doesnt, he always have attacks and he wont be able to breathe very well because there are inflammation in his air passage already. He is also not allowed to take a bath with cold water because he would get some rash. I dont know the cause of it but I pity him because he is only 10 and he's already having problems with his health.

Thank you for sharing your nephew's health condition. I guess those with allergies will have to be very careful with their body so as not to jeopardize one's health.

sometimes allergies come in later than others. perhaps she has an acquired skin asthma. the rashes... does it look like red blotches but not itchy? there are available creams or lotions that she can use, just have a dermatologist check on her. people with skin asthma have super sensitive skin and require hypo-allergenic products that would be safe enough to be used on a baby's skin.

I also suffer from allergies but not on cold environment but to foods. I can't eat most of my favorites because of that. in your condition, I guess you should ask your doctor if you could have a prescription cream for your rashes to minimize it since you are not allowed to drink anti-allergy medications..Also, maybe wearing thick clothes will do the trick..
