You are sitting on a park bench on your lunch hour, very hungry. A haggardly person walks by and stares at the sandwich you are about to eat, but says nothing. Would you share your lunch even though the person did not ask you for all, or part of your lunch? What are your thoughts?

I would certainly feel awkward if someone stares pointedly at me when i am about to eat. I would first ask him if he was hungry and if he said yes i would give him some money to buy lunch for himself. I think most people would accept money for food any way.As for sharing we would have to be in a desert and just the 2 of us, then if i was having lunch i would definitely share it with him.

...Hi veejay, You gave me a very good laugh. You are funny. I do not like demanding stares. If they want food, ask me and I would make a decision if I share, and I would more than likely give them the apple, not my sandwich. As I would not want to have a headache, and I would think that they had not been working and the apple should keep them until they find someone else to stare at. Whatever I gave them, that would not be the place I would eat again, for a few days. Take care and thanks for your response and the laugh.

I have been noticing myself that I haven't been as nice as I should. I would to think that I would share, but in reality if it really did happen it might come out a different scenario; which I hope I wouldn't be rude and be the nice person I want and know I can be.

...Hi there charblaize, If this happened in real life, I think there are a lot of different ways this could go. You could give the person your lunch and never come back to that particular location again, as they will be looking for you after that each day. You could get up and walk away and feel guilty for the rest of the day."o) You could give them some money and tell them to go buy what they would like, as your sandwich might not be what they would like. Or you could give them your apple and still walk away, and not come back there anytime soon. I myself can't appreciate stares which are demanding, but would probably give them the apple. Take care. Thanks for your response.
