Should depressed teens take Prozac? Antidepressant drugs, such as Prozac and Zoloft, have proved an effective way to treat clinical depression in adults, but should they be prescribed to treat common adolescent depression? Certainly, some teenagers suffer from serious depression that clearly calls for medical intervention, but isn’t it true that most teenagers experience occasional depression? Where do you draw the line?
