Do these PTC sites really make yney?

What I wonder is why everyone says they make all tis money off their PTC sites and are ready and willing to hand out their link to get efferals but then you see them somewhere else searching for more programs. I mean really how many sites can you handle a day? Do you sit there all day and click site after site? I don't see how these people make any money.
