I have been hearing about the Google Chrome browser for a little while now and am thinking of downloading to onto my computer as I am not really happy with the way my old favorite has been working as of late, but my problem is that I don't know anyone personally that has the Google Chrome browser. So my question to you all of my myLot friends is, do any of you out there have the browser installed and using it and if so can you give me a bit of low down about it? What do you like or dislike about it etc. so I can make an informed decision as to whether to download it or not. Thanks a lot for any help in making my decision!

Well i think there is nothing new to it but it has one advantage that it provides search results little quicker than other browsers.Other than that you can bookmark ,it also has add ons.Just try it may be you would like it.

Hello Prasunsam, I was wondering if there was anything really new about it or if it was much the same as the rest and I see from what you say there really isn't anything much new, but I do like the fact that it is a bit quicker and has some add ons that I may need in a browser. I just may give it a try like you said and see for myself! Thank you very much for responding! ;)

It is safe to download and they used very few resources of your pc. You can actually open it quite fast as they do not have those in IE and FF that uses a lot of resources of the memory when you open them. In effect they are faster than the two browsers. But I am not sure how secured the browsing is that is why I seldom use them. I am using that when I am into casual browsing and watching videos online because they seem to load faster in that browser.

Hi Rsa101 thank you for your input about Chrome. I like the fact that it opens fast and does not use a lot of resources of the pc. I have been using Firefox for a long time and always notice how slow it is to open. Thank you for responding! ;)

Yeah I noticed that too with Firefox. But still I am more confident with FF as compared to Chrome. I really think they need to assure me of its safety as they are a fairly new browser which at this point is not yet subject to a lot of security holes made by hackers. But eventually they will turn their attention to it when it reaches popularity. FF has been consistently secured in my case and has been quite okay for the past years I have been using. Yes they are a bit slow to load but I think that is because they have made it sure that before it loads they check everything if everything is okay.

I dont personally use it but I know people that do and they enjoy it and think it is a really good browser. I tend to use firefox myself. Firefox is a really good browser and rarely gives me any problems.

Hi Snowy, I myself am a Firefox user from way back and have not had few problems with it in the past but it seems to me that it has slowed down, or maybe it is just me, and also has a tendency to load a lot recently. Thank you for responding and letting me know what your friends/acquaintances think about it! ;)

It was installed on my computer with one of the automatic updates and of course I don't use it because I don't need it. I have America Online and even if I launch Internet Explorer AOL still loads to allow it to function. Haven't heard from you in a while; how are things?

Hi Canellita! I was just talking about you to another friend of mine yesterday, (All Good Of Course!!), and now here you are! Your ears must have been ringing! No unfortunately I haven't been very active here for a while and I do miss it a lot but sometimes I get so busy I just can't make it over here. Things are going well and I hope that the same is true for you. It seems like you learn something new every day, I didn't know that when you have AOL that it had to load in order for the others to function. Then again I am definitely not a computer genius so I depend on the kindness of others such as yourself to keep me informed on such matters!! ;D Thank you so much for responding! ;)

Well, when you have AOL you really don't need anything else; it is pretty much all-inclusive. It's just if I choose to launch a different browser...

Hi Anurag, thank you for pointing out the speed in which it searches and it's good security features. I think it is important for any browser to offer one or better yet both of these features! Thank you for responding and sharing your opinion! ;)
