so i got into the car with a friend to go into town and poof my lens pops out of my glasses, probably something a lot of us glasses wearers have dealt with.
it always seems to happen at the strangest times.
anyone else have something like this happen to them when is the worst time that it happened to you?
at least i didn't lose the tiny screws that hold it in place, but i was able to find it hold on to it till i got back to the house and borrowed dad's little screwdriver set good thing he is always prepared.
I'm not someone who likes contacts they always seemed like too much work and since my eyes haven't changed much in a long time, but this is something that you deal with from time to time if you have them.

I hate when that happens!! The worst time I ever had it happen was while I was driving. Can't see a darn without the glasses, so it was mostly like driving with only one eye focused lol. (And boy, did I ever have a headache by the time I got home! I don't care for contacts either. One thing I do when I've had that happen is to put a dot of clear nail polish on the end of the screw before re-screwing them back together. That holds them forever and it won't happen again. The glasses I have now had the lens fall out at least a year ago, I did that and it's still good. (And I wear my glasses from morning to night.)

well good thing i was a passenger so i could look for the lens while we were moving and luckily the screw didn't come out with it, because that would be impossible to find unless you got really lucky.
oh yes i know what you mean, since i only had the one lens still in i was shutting the other eye just so i could see, but since i was a passenger it was not too bad.
i can imagine that would get pretty scary trying to drive and not being able to see well.
without my glasses it is pretty blurry for me trying to see, but as long as the other lens was in i was able to close the other eye and see a little bit, but it was annoying more then anything as that always seems to happen when you least expect it.
never heard of putting nail polish in there, but if it works sounds like a good idea.

Yes, I have had this happen to me from time to time but not too often. I find if I don't close them up when I take them off and just lay them straight that it tends not to happen nearly as much.
I too never did like the thought of wearing contacts. Couldn't ever get past the thought of sticking my finger in my eye daily to put them in, though now they do have contacts that you don't have to put it and take out as often it is still something that doesn't appeal to me to do.

I can happily say I don't wear glasses but I've worked on other people's before.
