So, why do you think they called them laptops? They get to hot to keep in your lap. You will get a stiff neck trying to view it in your lap for long. Still it is better then the big desk typ. Well, to think about it the big desk typ is better, more power etc. The lap top has it's size going for it and so nice to drag along. Yep, I would surly miss my laptop if it broke. I was thinking the other day that perhaps in 10 years or less, we will have some new, better, stronger, laptop that just dose every thing better. Funny, as much as I love my laptop, when those come out I will just throw this one out. Maybe build a laptop tempel of some kind. I am sure some one will think of some good uses for them Be saying, remember the days we used laptops? Wow, how slow that was.

I agree that using a laptop can be stressful sometimes. But I feel so attached to my laptop. It has a sentimental value, since it was given to me by my dad. I admit that when something better comes along, I will buy it. But I will not throw out or give away my old laptop. Just like what you've said, I might also build a laptop temple. LOL.

So glad you see what I feel. I have spent so much time on my laptop and chated with some fine friends, kinda seems like a part of me now. Like a favorite pair of jeans. No more then that. It is kinda like a best friend, always there for you to help. Nice to know others feel the same. I guess if I worked in a big office with lots of computers around to work on, I might not feel the same. But, this is the only laptop I have. If it was to crash. I would be lost. I would wast no time rushing to the store to buy a nother. Your dad gave you your laptop, how sweet. Sure I can see how you would feel about such a kind gift. Enjoy.

For the moment i use my Laptop as a PC, with a keyboard and a mouse attached to it because i moved to Romania and i did not ship my 2 other computers here. (will do soon when i move out to my house) and well i am sitting in my bed and the laptop is on a chair! The next generation 'laptop' will be the eyecomputer, you'll wear glasses and have sensors attached to your hand (keyboard) and mouse to your finger so you will be able to be on the internets everywhere with no weight to bear!

Dang, that is so very interesting. That would be great. Were did you get that information? Is this something that you are wishing for to be, or did you hear about that? Any way, that would be so cool. Sure would make things better. I hope you share some of those thoughts or ideas with us. I am not a what one calls a teck typ person. I just get lost with that high teck stuff. I am just likeing the thought of the laptop that you spoke of. Hope to hear more. Thanks.

Yes,you are so right about that. Some changes are good, and some are welcome. It is the changes that do not seem for any good reason that bother me. You know the silly , for no reason ones that mix things up ones. Those drive me crazy. I seem to spend to much time trying to get all back together just to have some one change things again. The changes that improve our lives or the way we can do things better, faster, etc., those are good and welcome. How about you? How do you feel about all that?
