I'm still using Windows vista. Still saving for the New Windows 7. I hate how vista gobbles up most of my RAM.

I have three computers, each with a different operating system. I use xp on a desktop system, vista on my laptop system, and red hat linux on a separate desktop system. I like them all equally, although my xp system tends to be more prone to virus attacks than my linux box or vista system.

I think Vista is the best and most compatible and automatic of all, but there is windows 7 too. I still vote for Vista with service pack, 0 bugs full functionality, awesome operating system overall!

You'll feel uncomfortable when soon windows stops supporting XP. Then you'll be honey to the bees. If you switch do not switch to vista it's a waste of money, do switch to windows 7. You'll feel comfortable very soon.

I think that windows xp os is better for a normal pc. Window seven is latest version of OS. But it demands a good hardware also. Window xp is easy to use.

I use windows 7 right now. I actually like it a lot more than windows vista which I also have on this computer too for emergency. But windows 7 is probably nicer for me as it doesn't eat that much ram like vista. Better for me since I just have 2gb ram. Actually i wanted to delete vista but as I didn't have a vista cd (I never made one when vista asked me for the first time to do it when I got this pc 2 years ago) I didn't delete it yet. I mean I don't intend to go back to vista but it somehow makes me feel safer if I have a second system on pc in case something bad happens with win7 here. Before I had this pc I also had windows xp but as it is now I think windows 7 is probably the best system for beginners. I mean windows xp is basically hard to handle for beginners..like you have to install all drivers by yourself while win7 does this stuff by itself. I also remember I was really unhappy with vista when I got this new pc as it was preinstalled. And then when I wanted to go back to xp I had a hard time as winxp didn't support the "newer" type of drives with SATA2 (I think) because it doesn't have the drivers for it on the install cd. So it turned out to be horrible to go back and I just kept vista...

I am using Windows XP also. However, I am switching to a new pc soon and the operating system will be windows 7. I am just hoping it will be as user friendly as the Windows XP. It looks like as soon as you get used to one thing in the computer world, the technology totally changes and you have to learn something new.

Windows XP certainly for me. As far as being user friendly, at least for my experiences, there is really nothing to compare. I have been using Windows XP for years on my computer. The other two Windows systems have not really matched up to what I want in my operating system. Therefore, until there is something that really catches my interest, I will continue to stick with the tried and tested Windows XP as my computer operating system of choice. It has proven to withstand the test of time. Even several years after the fact, it still works well. Really, when you come down to it, nothing really matches up and everything falls just very short in the end.
