Anne Frank's diary is a must read for every teen-age girl. So I did read it when I was in high school. But I was so obsessed with Peter that I failed to notice that Anne had a tree, a chestnut, where she pondered about her life, her being and her future. The tree is old now and dying. But before that inevitable happens, they cut some twigs and replanted them in an institution where Anne's memory is being rekindled. Extraordinary people truly never dies.

The tree she frequently mentioned in her diary was/is about to die so it's a good thing they've cut off some twigs to grow them somewhere else. This way a piece of Anne always remains in the world.

She would have been 87 years old by now if she didn't die. I remember reading the last page of her diary. She is so full of hopes and dreams not knowing she is about to be caught by the nazis.

eileenleyva hi yes thats a must for all people to read. It is so' fantastic that the chestnut twigs were replanted as that will keep us all reminded that her courage and bravery will live on in our minds just as the chestnut tree will live on too. Thanks for reminding us of Anne Frank and her diary. That is a book that anyone should read, young and old. full of courage, bravery and hope.
