Hello guys. It's kinda disgusting topic but we all experienced this situation. When you are sick and outside, how do you usually manage when your throat is so itchy and you wanted to cough to clear your throat?? It's shameful when you cough and accompanied with disgusting sound. I hate this situation especially when i was still studying and usually it happened to me during examinations where everyone is so quiet and so focused to their papers. hahahhaha What i usually do, I just say "excuse me" and ignore them when they are reacting because i also one of them who love to bully when they are in the situation.lol BUt in malls or somewhere else i make sure that i don't cough that often even if the itchess kills me.

I try to clear my throat or drink something if I can. Like a bit of water. It doesn't bother me that much at all to cough if need be, nor does it bother me when others do. As long as we try to protect the cough in our sleeve, it will be fine. After all it's only natural. I also take allergy medicine if I feel that is the reason for my cough, that is, if I have some handy.

well, it's totally fine and normal but often people don't cover their mouth and spit their dirt anywhere. I hate it when they do that. Taking meds? Allergy meds? I grew up with medicine due to my allergy and it's quite tiring. How long you've been taking medicines for your allergy?

I do suffer the same problem maybe because of the sudden change of weather. Anyway yesterday i coughed so loud in public places and covering my mouth with hankie is not enough. and when i was in the hospital to visit my husband's friend which got from ICU due to stroke i was hesitant to cough because her husband is lack of sleep and needs complete bed rest.

I have the flu at the moment which is bad as it's summer here....I had to to that yesterday...I know it's not very lady-like but I when I coughed, I ended up with phlegm in my mouth so I just had to find a spot without too many people around where I could spit into a garden...but just coughing in public, I cover my mouth & turn my head away from everyone.

I don’t think it is too grose to cough in public provided you cover your mouth. What I hate are those horrible drawbacks that some people do that sound like someone is vomiting or something worse! That along with spitting is the most disgusting thing. Coughing itself is okay as long as it’s not done all over another person or their things. A good idea is to carry tissues or handkerchiefs.

That's Yucky! I hate it when someone do that! When me and my friends waiting outside the Intensive Care Unite an old man with different religion coughing and clearing her throat and spit on the garbage bin besides us! So yucky! We almost vomited of his disgusting action.
