Dogs treated like sons or daughters. Is it fine? Do you also practise such?

One time I happen to see someone carrying a little dog.She takes care of it very well and is so much focused with it. I tried to observe more until I heard that she actually calls her daughter and talks to it like a real person. She had it dressed like a kid too and put on ribbons on it's hair. She feed her too like a baby until it doesn't want to eat anymore.I looked closely and saw the lady ate up the it's remaining food.Indeed the doggie is like her baby. I enjoyed observing the two of them that day. Do you also treat your dogs this way?

My dog is small and lives with me in my home. He is my companion but I dont think I treat him like a son or anything, more like a loyal companion, a friend. I think people who think that animals are children are maybe really lonely and should get some more friends...

I don't have a dog, I have a cat, but he is DEFINITELY treated as a family member. We don't do the whole dress em up thing, but he is well groomed, has a large play center, gets fed strips of whatever meats we might be preparing for dinner that day. My cat thinks he can access our drinks, too... He always tries to access our drinks as well but we don't allow it. My cat also gets some gifts at the holidays and likes to be cradled in our arms upon his back, as if he were a small child.

There is nothing wrong with treating a dog or pet very well. As long as the dog is trained and is obediant they can treat them as they wish. It doesn't do any harm to anyone. It might be the only companion they have at home. REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV/ CARE FOR YOUR DOG/ PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U....

dogs, love, cared, member - dogs, family, member
At home I did not dressed my dog. I treat it as a special member of the house. It's our best friend. It can help watch our house and theft too. I let it bath and go outside if it wanted to pee and others. Dogs can help us so much than nothing one. I love my dogs and not practiced what you have seen. Each of us have different style in caring our pets at home.

I have a 2 dogs and a cat. They are treated as family. They give love and need love. When they do something wrong they are mildly scolded and grounded just like the kids. They are never physically abused. If you want a dog or cat, remember the responsibility can be overwhelming. You can't go on long trips without considering where they will stay. They must be feed and taken out multiple times a day, whether if your sick, tired or depressed. However the love you receive will more than compensate for the time and care you give.

When I was younger, our family had a dog I have never been much of an animal person to be honest, but even I couldn't help but consider this dog as a genuine member of our family after we had it for a while The day we had to have it put to sleep was one of the saddest days of my life, it was like watching an actual human member of our family being taken away from us

hi there, we treat our dogs like one of our family member. They sleep at our side in bed, we give them the best thing that we can, we love them so much... and they love us too. We talk to them like human, and I think they could understand us too... they are so fun to be with, they are also so sweet... well, they're like my daughters and sons too.

Every pet should be treated as a family member. But dressing them and feeding them the wrong food is not good at all. Just love them and take care of them. And i talk to my jack russels as if they are human and sometimes i think they understand every word i say. TATA.

The words or language is over used when we say as dogs treated like sons and daughters, I think it is a hyperbole conception. Of course, there's no such thing where kids role's to the heart of the parents are replaced by dogs. There are limitations what can dog offer or limitations what we can offer to the dog. Maybe there are people that are so compassionate, that they used to take good care of their pet so much, but it isn't be understood that they are treating this pets as their own kids.

Personally, I didn't own a dog. But I like to play with dogs. There is nothing wrong in giving such importance to the dogs. Moreover, dogs are very loyal when compared to humans. I enjoy in watching dogs treating good. Also, I remember a quote now 'I am working like a dog, to make my dog live like a king'.

dogs and cats and other cute cuddly animals are good companion and pets, but it could never ever replace a real person or act like one.. its fine to treat them extra special but, i dont think treating them as a person is such a good idea. maybe that woman couldn't have a child and she is just using the dog to comfort her feelings maybe she is using her pet as a defense mechanism from frustration of not having a real child
