Does anyone show their dachshunds or any other dog in the Showrings?

I've never seen a dog show (other than on TV) but I think it would be a great experience. Currently I am just getting through training my doxy puppy and he earned his Canine Good Citizen last month. We are discussing teaching him agility because he seems to be a natural at it. He absolutely loved trying the jumps and the A-Frame. He turns 1 in a couple of weeks so as he ages he'll be able to try some higher jumps. We also have been trying a Rally course because he knows so many of the commands. It's been great going through all of the training not just for him but for the bonding I experience with him as well.
Good luck in the show ring!

I don't do agility with mine. I don't want to mess up their backs but Earthdog is another option. They absolutely love digging for the rat. Good luck though! It sounds like you have a very smart one on your hands!

I've never heard of Earthdog but it sounds interesting. My doxy loves to dig and we have the holes in our backyard to prove it...lol.

I have shown my Labrador Retreiver. She got her CD in her first three shows. Right now I also have two mini dachshunds, but do not show them. My sister breeds and shows mini dachshunds and right now has a litter of piebalds about ready to go. I my opinion, Labs are much easier to train than doxies!
