what do you do

what is it you do when you cant sleep well at night?then when you do get to sleep you end up waking at like 3:30am or even 4am i am having this trouble i need some sleep bad i was wondering if anyone would know what i could do to get some really good sleep i am always tired and now i am get grompy at times too and my family does not need that,i hate this not being able to sleep thing happens at time i more often then not end up going to docs.to get meds. but thought i would ask to see if anyone might know another way to get sleep without getting some meds from the dr. please let me know if you know anything.

yup, even now I'm having problem. it's 4.27am here at where I am. I didn't sleep for the whole day. I was feeling sleepy around 10pm then no more. can't sleep anymore. I try and try everything that used to have me but seems they dont work tonight. nothing I can suggest but to let you know that you're not the only one, you've got a friend.

I have to catch my 7.30am class. Sometimes I couldn't sleep at all before the class time.

yeah i hate it when u get up to early tho it is ok sometimes when u live with others u get time to yourself to

I had this problem to. I can't really sleep when the time i'm supposed to. Waking up so early. The best thing you could do is make yourself exhausted. You can just read a the most boring book every, maybe that can really make you feel sleepy.

yeah my cousin has books like that tho most are still in boxes but i have other books tho they wouldn't put me to sleep.

Well I have this problem a lot, and like tonight, I can't go to sleep, so I get up and come to the computer and see what MYLOT has to offer. I do have doxipen that I can take but hate to use it, don't know why it lets me sleep and does not make me drowsey in the morning. When I get up I make a pot of coffee, that has never done anything to keep me from sleeping and I think the warmth is what puts me to sleep. don't matter when I drink it I can then go lay down and sleep. Some times just the typing here makes me sleepy, mostly it is from too much on your mind when you lay down. Or could be like me, my legs kill me when I go to bed. I stretch them out, pull them back, stretch them out, it like there is no place to put them, and doc said the one thing that is out there for that I can't take. So I just live with it, and sooner or later, usually around 7 or 8 I will go lay down and sleep for a couple hours.

i guess were on the same track. i cant sleep at night too and its hard for me to do it. i already tried almost everything, from meditation, to drink a glass of milk to reading books and etc but still the same. worst is if i stay awake till dawn, i will feel hungry and i need to eat. sometimes i can go to sleep while talking to my boyfriend since we have different time. most of the time its bcoz i think a lot of things or our mind is pre occupied with something thats why we cant sleep. thats what happened to me, and no matter how i tried, i really cant avoid but to think about my situation right now. its really hard.

true sometimes even meds don't work but i have tried alot myself and i am just not happy i think it goes with the depression i have to

hello lady, i have that nightmares too then i starts taking MELATONIN good for sleep disturbances and insomnia,its about 3mg/tablet and not only that it has been proven to help skin condition and i proved it myself. This will be taken before bedtime and you will see it has actually a good effect in your sleep condition,You may ask your doctor about this and see how it helps.You can ask for more details to an expert before taking it. Yes, it happens to me every now and then especially when I have a lot of things on my mind. If I wake up at 3AM and can't sleep, I just turn on the light, lie on the bed and keep my eyes shut so that I can try to sleep again.

i do that at times but i have to leave the light off because i share a room with one of my cousins.

I used to have insomnia...the case that I had difficulty sleeping during night and sometimes morning comes and I'm still awake. Then i realized that if I am too tired I easily fall sleep...so i keep myself busy always and somehow I already had a good night sleep during night. I will not ask foe medicine because I'm afraid there is a side effects to my body.

I have a hard time sleeping too, when i start getting tired i take over the counter liquid benedryl and i take around 4 teaspoons of that every night when i start getting sleepy. That is going to be your best option of over the counter medicine that will help you sleep at night. Doctors say to try t his method first before they subscribe you medicine anyways. Benedryl will help you fall asleep and i also wake up in the middle of the night sometimes but i always end up going back to sleep if i do take this. Hope this helps out for you and you can sleep better.
