So the winter olympics are well on there way now and after the Olympics in bejing with a great opening ceromony I'm not sure if us Brits can compete with it. What are your thoughts on this and how do you think it will compare?

hey there woot woot nice to see another brit on here as for the winter olympics to be honest I am not really into watching it every night, was great for the first british single gold medal in the skeleton the other night but to be honest I think the winter olympics is more a bit of fun for the brits as we don't have the facilities to compete with the other nationalities. I also think we do well to even have a team being quite a small nation with limited resources can compete. As for the opening ceremony again not really into them lol, to me its just a waste of money that could be better spent on the facilities and the actual olympics themselves just me opinion.

Yeah a Brit too. :) I didn't see the opening ceromony for the winter olympics, but the Bejing one was spectacular to watch. great effects and so on. Just think the the UK are poor when it comes to putting on shows like that. However they may prove me wrong and I hope they do. Thanks for your opinion. :)

well I'd rather spend my taxes on hospitals and schools and providing a future for my kids lol, than on the olympics or banks but because we have the olympics lets hope we make the games a good games for the content not just for the starting ceremony
