Mylot Search Box/Engine, our Posts/Responses are Connected for a Purpose.

I've just recently thought of this that one of the reasons why mylot search engine is created is to encourage us all mylotters to make good and informative discussions. This idea was born after I have used the search engine several times now, what particularly we are looking there are 'inside' information... though there are still information coming from 'outside' but mostly results of our searches are discussions of our co-mylotters that would matches our search.
Hence, this 'whole thing' directly encourages us to create a more informative posts/discussions and more rational/intellectual responses because we know that our discussions would be a great help for other mylotters next time, and in the near future whenever they would use mylot search box for some important information. As long as their searches matches ours, then 'ours' would be the result of their 'search'. I already experienced 'this good thing' about the posts of co-mylotters which are results of my search, they were dated years or much earlier than weeks, and I appreciated how much informative and specific they are in their topics because those are really great helps.
Have you think the same too? Now this is the time for us mylotters to be useful in the future... I know this is just the start, soon I believe that our topics could be searched also by another search engines other than mylot and could be great help to everyone.

Actually, the search box is not really considered a new addition. Previously, there's also a yahoo search box at the top right hand side of the screen. Just that now it's being centralized and has a better search capability. I think it's indeed a great help for us to avoid similar topics.

Well, you are right, I am not here for 3 years so I am not able to use the yahoo search box, I am not really addicted to mylot before, maybe it was there present already...
But have you noticed differences now between the yahoo search or the mylot search?

THAT is why this idea came into my mind... 'the search capability is better and most discussions are offered mixed with web...' Thus this only leads us to
become more serious and informative to all our discussions, because many new comers (even us) could benefit more from them, now and in the future.

Yeah, like I said, it's search capability is better. Previously, you can also use the yahoo search box to search for discussions or web but the results displayed were not as relevant as this new search engine. So it has been improved quite a lot.

hi I have found that if you do not stress web you get no or very useless answers to the information you seek. but yes I am going to it to help someof my fellow my lotters who were looking for some answers to some problems that they had. It really did help me to help them. I have yet to do anything in my searching that has garnered me an award but that is okay. I am doing well anyway here in mylot as it pays my internet bills and thats what I was aiming for. I have a very small budget.

Hi hatley.
I'm sorry I could not fully get what you mean on your first sentence. But I got your point, now I am starting to put references on my posts/responses whenever necessary, when I get some idea on the web, though some are reworded but I really see to it that I put the source at the end, because these could a help to other mylotters too. (and to avoid plagiarism)
And I appreciate much that you are always willing to help other mylotters Hatley, that's our purpose here though.
The time has not come for you to receive Hatley, I know that the admin is doing fair on their reward system... soon you would. Fortunately, I have received 2 yesterday, I am glad...

Hey prime,
I guess hatley is saying that the web today gives little focus on the information sharing thing and give much much more focus on the money thing. I guess the world of search engine optimazation can also have bad effects on other people. Like when you search something on the web the the page with the most views related to your search will top the list, not the most relevant answer to your request.
And I am new to myLot, what award are you talking about??

Yes that's it, whenever you search, the one that is most viewed is the one on the top that would matches yours, and this may contain 'something' or 'nothing'. Have you tried using the mylot search box now? It usually brings you the topic discussed earlier here on our fellow mylotters. Though it brings also outside web information. In this light, I thought, everybody in here may benefit from the discussions we have, not for a very specific information, but some little good idea that may help them, because, these could be viewed anytime via mylot search engine. However this is not really a big deal, someone may find this topic irrelevant, I am just stressing what's on my mind... because this is what I think.
I am talking about mylot reward by naturally using the search box. Use it like you are using other search engines and then mylot would reward you. A small box would appear on your screen and would state the amount rewarded to you. But please do not abuse it, because you may lost your account.

Yeah? well I have not used the search engine once. Until now, I have just been depending on the daily digest and respond to topics that I have interest in. I don't just respond to topics that I have no idea of. And if I think of good questions and come up with good realizations, I just use the discussion to attract people that have the same aura as mine.

Well, that is a good start eekikit. If you will noticed, you cannot see me too in many discussions here, like you, I am only going to respond to those topic that I am interested in. But I am reading all other discussions time to time, I feel I could not just drop any word sometimes.
Since you are new to mylot, I would tell you that this community has a lot to offer you--answers for your doubts/questions, companionship with your virtual friends, knowledge, fun, and money. Of course, every-time you get active, and share your important views, mylot will compensate you. And this is the good time for you to start... make your mylotters you're family here in the world of virtual community.
