That is he logged into my paypal account and sent money to his account.. since i was online at the moment i imd raised a dispute as an unauthorized transaction by the time the hacker came online to chat with me and he asked me.. u changed the password? (i changed the password using the on-screen keyboard) then i asked him why did he do that and i expalained him how hard i worked to earn those pennies here.. he said sorry and returned that amount and the money was back into my account.. had you ever faced these kinda problems? any suggestions to avoid these problems..

Good thing that he sent you back the money, maybe he was just trying his skill in Paypal? Who knows... However, you can report to Paypal for that action though..

Haha that's actually a kind of humorous story how it all folded out. I'm glad you got your money. It is apparently a problem with a lot of sites like this (not myLot specifically, but others) where they get a hold of your Paypal account and can pretty easily get access to it. If you're not careful with agreements with PPC sites they can potentially steal your paypal money. So make sure to read the fine print, have a safe password, and storing your money in a bank account is safer (and helps the economy)!

I have not experienced any kind of account being hacked. But I am cautious to make a difficult password to detect. Try to make a password with letters and numbers. Otherwise it would be very easy to detect and hackers can gain entry to your account. I hope it wont happen again to you.

I usually don't chat much as I find there are many tools during chatting which can be used to log into your computer and find various things you don't want to share. But I'm glad the guy put back the money into your account. That's a good story.

That's a story that's both good and bad, and also unbelievable. 'Happy' because I think you're lucky you that you managed to get your money back. It's also scary beecause here I am trying hard to make it to my first payout, and then I hear your story; it makes me very nervous. 'Unbelievable' as it sounds like something out of a movie. But then, whatever the reason or the details, the important things is that you got your money back. Good for you.

I think your theif was very kind to return the money.I have just become a victim of the debit card where the fraud asked me to give details.since just got up from sleep i thought it was an email from the bank and gave details. The next moment a huge amount of money was withdrawn from my account.I have learnt a lesson.Never give passwords to strangers at any cost even if it is your closest friend as there are chances of the account getting empty.

i am glad that he returned your money. but it's so surprising that a hacker made it with your account and actually chatted with you. i guess, you have to change your password more often so that we can be more secure. don't you think someone you know actually did that to you?

This is really shocking to learn that Paypal accounts could also be hacked. Now, I would be checking my Paypal account regularly, and also changing my password from time to time. However, it is a bit surprising that the hacker returned the money- it seems that your observation that the hacker was not a professional is perhaps correct. Have safe web surfing ahead. Regards

Thankfully I've never had the experience of having my paypal account hacked and I hope that it never happens to me. In your experience you are lucky that the money was returned to you so quickly and that you really didn't have to go through a haggle to get your money back. I wish that it would always work out that you would get your money back when you were scammed in some way, I've been scammed through paypal transactions a couple of times and I've never seen a dime of the money that I lost again in my life.

That's scary someone hacked your paypal account. Just make sure you don't use same password on all site when registering because other sites might use it. And don't make your password easily guessed. Are you sure the it's the hacker that returned the amount? or it was Paypal who get because you file a dispute with them. It's very odd that a hacker will return what he have steal. Just be careful next time and create a good password.

Rather close that account and open a new one. You should never ever let anyone get hold of any of your passwords, no matter who it is. TATA.

I have never had my paypal account actually hacked. I was lucky, paypal caught on as someone was trying to and froze my account. Luckily at that time, I didn't have a lot of money in my account to freak out over. It was a hassle to get my account unfrozen, but better safe than sorry. I'm very happy to hear that this person had a change of heart and put the money back into your account. I'm also shocked that paypal didn't catch on to this a head of time. Not everyone in this world are decent enough to put the money back, or even chat with you about it. There is no telling why this person did this, just glad he put it all back. This is your money, might not be a lot to other's, but you worked hard to have it.

OMG! and he gave it back to you? LOL. And he even speak to you. Grrrr! And he said "sorry"?! Oh man. Thank goodness all is okay now. I just hope that it won't happen again. Sometimes I'm worried in checking my paypal account in open Wi-Fi's or hot spots where you can acquire free internet such as malls, cafe's, etc. because they say hackers have tools to trap personal data such as password from open or public wifi. em]rolleyes[/em]
