What does this dream mean?

Last night my friend had a dream where she was sky high, and then she was sliding down numerous tubes that were all continuous and connected to each other. She finally got to the last tube, but instead of going down it she just laid there, then water started filling up, but she was still able to breathe for a few seconds when it was completely full of water. And then she woke up right before I started drowning.

I suppose that one way to interpret this dream is that your friend is on a journey of sorts.. Perhaps spiritually or socially one. Each tube could represent a choice that has been made or is to be made. The last tube filling up with water could be a representation of feeling trapped or hopeless.
