Not anymore. I've created a folder called AutoRun.Inf. Made it a hidden system file and thrown in another file with no extension in it. It's a way of preventing most of the simple virii programs from installing any of thier nasties.

I always scan pendrive when insert into the port. I have caspersky antivirus whenever I insert a pendrive it will insist me to scan. I think that this is secure for my computer. So I do not need any other usb security softwares for scanning.

Yes I usually scan my pendrive before i use it. USB security is not enough for me because some viruses could not be detected by this mere software. I use well known anti virus software like ESET Nod32. I also tried to use Avira and it works great even in a laptop with only 1 gb of memory. You should try to use one of these softwares for your convenience.

no not really, specially when i'm not using my computer. And if I am in my computer, even if i don't scan it, my virus scanner scans it automatically for me. Well actually, everything external that gets plugged into my computer are being scanned by my virus scanner. There isnt really ways you can prevent viruses from getting inside your drives, you just have to scan/reformat them regularly if you really want a safe and clean drives.

Yes, I always scan my pen-drive by anti-virus before using it. For that, I always keep my anti-virus updated so that any danger of a virus getting in your hard-disk is prevented. And in case, I don't have an updated anti-virus, I always wait till I get it updated and then use it to scan the pen-drive!!

Yes..I make it a habit to scan my pendrive each time I use it especially when it was plugged in to a different a computer..It's better to prevent viruses from attacking your system rather than curing it later on when it has already infected your system..
