Today is: NATIONAL GUMDROP DAY! That's right, in the US it is a sort of holiday dedicated to the sweet sugar coated gumdrop. I just received that little tidbit of news on my phone. Go then and get your gumdrops from your nearest market before they are gone. Celebrate with some homemade gumdrop soup. For a tasty drink, blend a bag in your blender with some ice and juice. Add your favorite alcoholic beverage if you like. For desert, why not try a gumdrop pie? Simply pour a bag of gumdrops in some oreo or graham cracker crust, heat it in the oven just long enough to make the gumdrops stick together and top with your favorite whip topping. Yummm. Can you tell I'm a little bored and sleep deprived and hyped up on coffee? I can't believe I came up with all those recipes so fast..............
