Hey people. in your opinion which were the best central defenders or side defenders of he last decade?? I think the top 5 are: .John Terry .Paolo Cannavaro .Alessandro Nesta .Carles Puyol .Rio Ferdinand The only side defender that comes to my mind is Roberto Carlos. And the best of decade for sure was Paolo Maldini. For the next World Cup i think Walter Samuel, Puyol and ill give a shot on Cannavaro's experience. The 3 of them are going to play a great World Cup. Whats your opinion???
