What is happiness?

In most people's eyes, they think a person have a lot of money and a warmth family and a smart child which can be defind as happiness. How do you think about happiness? Do you think get marriage is happiness while get divorced is unlucky?

Hi, I don't know if it's possible to define happiness at all. happiness means something different to evryone, and there cannot be an "objective" definition. However, I had a shot at trying to define it in a more "scientific" or "objective" way, despite it being a subjective feeling: www.spreadinghappiness.org/2009/08/what-is-happiness/ I would love to hear your thoughts! As someone once said, “Art is the stored honey of human soul, gather on wings of misery and travel.” I think happiness is as mystical as true love, if we glimpse the unutterable, it is unwise to try to utter it. Hope everyone has a happy time. Thanks for your message and your blog, although I could not understand many of your words, I have to admire you make great effect to explore this field.

No i don't think so.. happiness has nothing to do with this.. many people live happily without marriage.. the thing is all you need to do for being happy is believe yourself,be contented with wat u ve and be optimistic..

Happiness is human perception. When you think happy, then you will be happy. When you have a lot of money, you can buy the most expensive bed, but you can not buy a good sleep. No matter you get marriage or divorced, if you think with that will bring the happiness, then you will get it. It depends on your mindset.

I don't think certain things can be defined as things that would make people happy. Having a lot of money can make people happy, but it can also make people very sad if it means that they cannot trust anyone to be their true friend as you will allways wonder if they are after your money. Having a smart child can be a blessing but also a curse if the child is very intelligent but has little or no social skills and isn't able to make friends, and is therefore unhappy. You have to see things in their context.

GOOD question...Actually,I don't think so. The happiness in my mind is to accomplish you dream and to be a person that you'd like to become,that is,just to get something you want in your life and lead a life in the way which you are enjoy...haha...maybe that's enough...also,different people have different dream so the happiness has different concrete definition to everyone.For me,my dream is to travel around the world in my life...JA JA JA...wish me lucky... I haven't been married and what I know is that....get marriage isn't always happy but get divorced maybe lead to a lovely future.
