I watched their WrestleMania 25 match on WWE Classics about a month ago and it was so good that I don't think they will top it this year. I would say their WrestleMania 25 match was the WWE Match of the Decade in my opinion. I didn't expect it to be that good due to their age but it was an awesome match as well as one of the best matches ever. This year It will be Shawn Michaels career on the line vs. Undertakers undefeated streak at WrestleMania. I don't see Shawn retiring after this years WrestleMania. Look for him to be the first to beat the Undertaker at WrestleMania 26.

These two men have quite the match to follow up. However, if any two men can do it, it will be Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker. I thought their matches in 1997-1998 were great, but years later in 2009, with both men older and more broken down, they managed to be even better. The retirement stipulation adds some interest to this match. It just shows how desperate Shawn Michaels is to win this match, that he will put his career on the line. However, I really think that this might be the end for Shawn Michaels as a full time active wrestler. The Undertaker will hang onto the streak for this year, but it will be a hard fought match. It should be the main event but it won't be. Still, if know Shawn Michaels, if he's going out, he'll go down with an absolutely memorable performance. Plus, even if he loses, he might come back for a match or two eventually sometime down the line. This is wrestling, where retirement just means a temporary vacation. Mick Foley, Terry Funk, Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, men who have "retired" and came back. I can see Shawn Michaels maybe taking a while off but come back eventually for a special attraction match once or twice a year. Still this will be a good match, a great match, an epic encounter, I think both of these men will pull off something great. Plus regardless of the outcome, I believe both men are taking about six months off after Mania, so why not go all out and nearly kill yourself to get a great match, because it's not like you have to get up and get into the ring the next day.

yes, they will put on great match if there both taking time off. they won't have a reason not to if there taking such a long time off. it should be great. i don't know how much further they can push it when compared to last year. i don't think they can do much better if at all. there will probably be some interference this year in the match. i don't know bret hart screwing shawn.

I agree no matter what stipulation is Michaels and Undertaker are veterans and they know how to put on a good match. they have the technical skills and they have the experience to headline any show anyday. Even if Michaels does retire I can defintly see him coming back one day. Maybe he does need some time off anyways because he does have a bad knee and back. I really hope Undertaker never looses his streak anyways. And if he did the only guy who is worthy enough to lose it to would be Shawn. I want him to retire with the undefeated streak though and Shawn will retire knowing he always gave his best in every match he ever did.

its about being caught in the moment. shawn michaels has been my favorite wrestler since the mid 90s. even if its scripted he still puts on a good show as well as the undertaker.

Fake or not, some people enjoy watching this show and are entertained by it. Movies in a theater are fake, and many people still watch them.

I think the question is is why would you want to watch the real thing? Wresling is simply sports entertainment just like a movie is entretainment. Yes they are both scripted but thats the point.

i'm going to agree with the majority of the board that this year's hbk-taker match will be awesome. we are talking about two future hall of famers here and we should expect nothing but the best from these two. not so sure if it will equal last year's match but for sure it will be one of the better matches in this year's wrestlemania. the hbk stipulation actually makes this more interesting becasue not only are we talking of the taker's streak but more so about hbk's career. if the stipulation wasn't included, i think wwe will be hard-pressed to equal last year's match but putting that stipulation has actually created a buzz for this year's wrestlemania. i mean any match with hbk and taker is surely main evert material. a match between the two is nothing short of exceptional but doing another one just a year after seemed to soon even for such a great match. personally, i think taker maintains his streak and hbk takes time off for a couple of months after wrestlemania and comes back to wreslting. personally, i want to see a heel hbk return. after a couple of months a new face emerges, perhaps ted dibiase jr., and vince takes it upon himself to put the new hot shot in his proper place. vince challenges dibiase jr for the title and during the match, out of the crowd comes the evil and meaner hbk. hbk superkicks dibiase jr and the match ends in a disqualification. come next week in raw, vince announces that he has re-signed a bonafide wwe superstar and future hall of famer. he announces the return of hbk and clearly hbk has turned heel and this starts another chapter in hbk storied career in wwe. not sure if this would pan out or if wwe has thought about this one but i certainly would like to see a heel hbk. since we are in that matter, i'd like to see a heel dx sometime in the near future. perhaps hhh and hbk can recruit new members for the heel dx and they would make life miserable for whoever are teh faces in wwe during that time. just my 2 cents.

michaels and undertaker just now agreed to make it a no dq match at wrestlmania. this probably means interference will definitely be involved. why else would it now be a no dq for a storyine. is this how shawn michaels will finally end undertakers streak with interference. maybe bret hart will try to screw shawn over in the match. i would say hhh will be involved in the interference on michaels behalf or maybe undertakers past defeated wrestlemania opponents which would really be a cool ending on top of the stuff i have already mentioned. theres not telling how things are going to play out. AWESOME!

Last year's match between Taker and HBK was nothing short of a classic, more wrestlers will get inspired by these two legends. The idea of having the rematch does not sound that much exciting to me but yes having HBK's career on the line is something that makes this match much more interesting. I have heard rumors that HBK will take time off after Wrestlemania but whether he will quit wrestling is a different matter.

michaels and the undertaker were gone for a few months after wrestlemania 25. anyway it will take nothing more than a chair beatdown like what austin did to the rock at wrestlemania 17 for the undertaker to be pinned and that still might not work, lol. taker turns into jason voorhees at wrestlemania. you could cut his head off and he would still walk and win.

Yes the whole career on the line thing is what will definetly make it more exciting. Either way those when these to get in the ring together the will be sure to put on the show. They are two of the best technical wrestlers in the business today. No matter what setting the could still blow the roof off a place.

Well seeing that those two are veterans of the business and that their match last year was probably the best match we have seen in the WWE in a long time Im sure they will bring even more to the table this year. Also seeing that there is more on the line this year with Shawn having to retire if he loses and with all the tension there has been between the two in the last year. Shawn has made this an obsession to beat the Undertaker so Im sure this will be a very tense match that will have fans on their feet. I just hope WWE gives them a good time limit like at least a half and hour to perform otherwise it really wont be worth it. I jsut hate when there is so much hype built up for one match and then it ends up totally blowing. Im sure that wont be the case though with these two. So lets just hope this whole wrestlemania will be better than last years as Wrestlemania 25 wasnt actaully that good in my mind. I hope they get some better storylines going and some better main eventers with fresh new faces or it will suck but this match will probably make up for it anyways kind of like it did last year.

that shouldn't be a problem as wrestlemania is the only 4 hour long wwe pay per view i know of. it use to be 3 but they extended the time.

Well I havent seen it yet..I am going to buy the DVD as soon as it comes out but fromm what I heard it definetly was even better than last years which would have been very hard to do as last years match was one of the best matches I had seen in a while. i now just cant wait to see what they had in store this year.

lol.....Well if am to say my mind....HBK made a big mistake to such a stipulation, staking his carrie against Understakers undefeated strik. Last year, HBK was took out for months because of the injuries sustained at the match at wrestlemania against the undertaker.... You see, let's face the fact here....EGo in HBK will lead him to everlasting regrets...Come to think of it, understaker was d guy that took him out for a good long 4yrs and addition to that 5 months from wrestlemania.. How many time he he giving HBK injuries that makes inconpitent, he is family man bt he doesn't think like a family man all just to satisfy the fans...I see hell's gate awaiting HBK this time... Somebody needs to talk to him and if he get incapasticated now, he will now be a liablity to the wife and to his children all just to satisfy the fan, to call you Mr wrestlemania....D man that took out Takers undefeated strik...lol which will neva happen though he came real close d last time but this....I doubt...Hw needs to think twice before his actions it's all am trying to say....

i thought they both were suppose to take some time of after last years wrestlemania anyway. i recall some saying both undertaker or shawn michaels were not on tv for months after their wrestlemania 25 match. i think they just went all out because they planned on taking some time off anyway.

I don't think it will be better then last year's, though I also don't think last year's match was as fantastic as people think. There were a lot better matches last year let alone in the decade in the mainstream American feds alone, that's before we even step over to Japan. Shawn will "retire" for a few months and be back after he's had his break. I really wish they had went with a different match this year, seeing a repeat is kind of boring imo.

i haven't kept track of many of the matches througout the decade. i watched wrestling throughout all the 90s. just watching there wrestlemania 25 match alone was enough for me to be a believer that it was one of the matches of the decade.

While I expect this year's match to be the best match of the night, I do not expect it to be as good as last year's for two main reason. The first being sequels rarely top the first in life (movies, songs, etc.) Secondly, both men are more banged up than they were a year ago. I still expect a match of the year candidate from these two and also feel this match should be the final match of the night.
