I currrently have both a mac and a pc. And I have noticed that I don't run into as many problems on my mac as I do running windows. Could this be that mac is simply better protected? Or could it be that it's harder to develop virus for mac's than it is pc? What do you think?

Not many people bother to make viruses for the mac. Why? Because windows is just more popular than MAC and so more potential victims than for MAC. So MAC doesn't have better protection , rather it is just so lame that no one wants to make viruses for it. Macs are for noobs. Be a man and use windows :)

Windows is very globally known i give you that. Every since bill gates rise to fame he has made billions of dollars and was of the most successful operating systems to date. But with ever great thing there is a downside. I mean look at windows release of windows vista. There were so many problems with it before hand that when you say windows is the best i just can't comprehend that. Am i the only one who thinks this?

yea vista had problems but they had realized that and bada bing bada bam we have windows 7 and it is AMAZING!!!! Mac on the other hand they get updated idk when and most likely for no reason. They have the same os. no upgrading of that. Basically right now I think mac is just a line increasing by 0.0001 and windows is going like a set of stairs that have a set of increase a lot higher than mac.

I think it is that people who make viruses just tend to use pc more because more people use macs. So of if I was a virus maker I would go with infecting the bigger population. I mean if I was a virus maker and I wanted to tell apple they could not make computers I would make a mac only virus. But overall I just think that there are more pc users than mac and more people generally more people to try and infect that that is the reason. I really dont like macs at all. It is really annoying and about 90% of the games I like you wouldnt be able to play on there because it is not mac supported.

I agree that there is a must more user base for windows. And that game thing, mac really needs to step it up the most best game I've seen on macs so far is call of duty 4. Do you think that if there was as many users of mac as their are pc's you would have about the same number of virus/intresions? Or do you think it wouldn't make a difference?
