Why Join A GPT Site If Not going to be "Active"

I cant figure out why someone would join a GPT site and never try to make any money with it. It's so easy and free. I belong to several I just joined and making money left & right, some have joined under me and just hang there doing nothing. They could message me if they need help. One site I belong to for over a year and a half and have something like 90 referrals, all dead except for perhaps 2 or 3 and their not even there every day. Have you ever joined a GPT site and never used it? Why?

That doesn't just happen with referrals on gpt sites. It happens at all programs. I have never belonged to a site where all my referrals were active. I think sometimes its a language barrier. Other times I think people join, thinking it is going to be something different. Others may think the site is to complicated. It really doesn't bother me. I offer sites and if people sign up..great. I am always around to help. But, if it doesn't work out for them , that's okay too.

It happens with me too. Sometimes I join a site expecting something and finding the other. I'm not likely to be very active on that site. This happens with referrals too. They find the process too slow to actually make money so they give up in a couple of days.
