What do you usually do with orange peels?

i usually collect the orange peels during the chinese new year celebration as every one eat oranges durung this festive season. there is a big 'harvest' of orange peels. as usual, the orange peels are dried in the sun and put in tight containers. we make orange cake with the orange peels. we cook chicken and pork dishes with the orange peels. we boiled water and put orange peels and serve as a drink. the taste is quite pleasant. orange peel drink with honey is good for easing cough.

I usually just throw the orange peels out. But I like the products made by orange peels. In China, there are a lot of snacks made by orange peels, of course not only orange peel. They taste so good such like “Dried tangerine or orange peel".

Hi. colydf. If I am eating a fresh and cold orange, I will just throw the orange peeling away. And, if I am making some hot tea, I will boil the orange peels into the hot water and tea so that it can have a spicy orange tea taste.

Orange peels with tea ?Sounds amazing !!Is there any benefit doing so ?Please tell me .....I dont throw away orange peel but i dry them in sunlight.Powder it and store it in an air tight container.When ever i need a face pack i take a teaspoon of the powder mix it with rose water or honey and apply it on my face.After few minutes i wash it off with water and the skin glows naturally. I have heard about papaya peel for making meat tender but what does orange peel do with meat ?Does it add taste ,aroma or what ?

Only recently, i started to collect orange peels when my friend told me that the goodness of orange peels. Before, i usually will throw away the orange peels after had eaten the orange. Now, i will dry them out, if the weather is hot and keep them. I will use them when i am cooking steam fish or even drink orange peels when my throat feels dry and want to cough. It's a very good way to heal our normal sick without spending any extra money.

I will usually leave the orange skin to air for a while. Shortly the room will be filled with light scent of orange which i feel that is very pleasant and nice.

My orange peels don't go to waste either. I just throw mine on the compost heap to rot down. To be honest I had no idea you could dry tham out and use them. See, they say you learn something new every day!
