I am 21 year old now and I still do not know how to cook. I think may be it is time for me to learn cooking. I find cooking is interesting, but I also find that it is quite hard to learn. Can you cook? How old do you learn cooking?

I once learned cook when I was going to college. I thought that I could cook myself and save some money. But when I got my college, I found that eating at GDC is a must because there is no kitchen in my dorm! And now, I cook myself and learn cooking day by day. My skills get better and better~~

Yeah, practice makes perfect. I think as long as you practice every day, your cooking skill will get better and better. Now I am not so good at cooking, but I believe in the near future, the food I cook will be very delicious, aha!

At school we had cookery lessons from age 11. It was very simple things but useful for me because at home we were not allowed to touch the cooker or the fridge. When I was 17,my mother was away ill for a long time and I had to cook the meals for me and my brother and sister. I tried everything by following the cooking book and got much more confidence. It is only a matter of practice.

Necessity is mother of invention.. read learning to cook in my case.. Living as expat in other country, its really difficult to find food of my own taste, which I am used to since birth. Eventually after few days, when i had enough frustration and temptation for local taste, I made something eatable myself. half burnt and bitter in taste though.. but later i found that it wasn't that difficult as i imagined initially.. and also i learned to appreciate my mom putting her hard work and patience required for cooking.

I learned to cook when I was 17. I left home from college at that age and I just can't stand eating fried food anymore because all I knew about cooking then was frying something up. That's when I first tried and studied cooking a real meal.

I learn cooking since I was a little girl. I can cook simple soup and rice. Now, cooking is my hobby. If I don't cook for a long time, I will feel there's something missing.

My cooking education started when I was three. Mom saw my interest in the stove and decided to teach me how to cook so that I wouldn't get into a dangerous situation with my curiosity. She kept teaching me and I also did a lot of self teaching, and by the time I was 12 I took over cooking all the meals for my family (there were four of us). By the time I was 15 I was proficient in gourmet cooking. Now, I develop my own recipes and am cooking for my BF every other night or so. I also have won many blue ribbons at my local fair for my baked goods. Cooking is only as hard as you make it. If you can follow directions or read a book, you can teach yourself to cook. If you start by reading the entire recipe, gather all the items you need to make the recipe, and follow the recipe step by step you'll find that things aren't the difficult. But, then too, there are people that aren't cut out to cook (my father was one of them...he couldn't cook to save his life!) and end up living on frozen dinners. Keep trying, and you'll be surprised at how fast you learn how to cook. Just expect that you'll have some failures (we all do) but don't let the failures get you down.

My mom taught me to cook rice when I was 9 then at 10, she taught me how cook simple dish like fried fish, hotdogs, bacon, boiled, sunny side up and scrambled eggs. When I reached high school, little by little, she let me work with her in the kitchen preparing our meals. By the time I finished highcschool I can cook a complete meal. I am fond of reading cook books and I find it enjoyable cutting recipes in the magazines. I also taught my daughters to cook, because I believe that all girls should know how to run the kitchen.

I learned how to cook when I was little, well not really little, maybe about 10 years old. My dad used to let us watch him cook so that we can be able to familiarize stuff about cooking. Sometimes he lets us try to cook, of course he was always there to guide us. Since those times, I kept practicing and inventing stuff as well, until i learned how to cook well.

Yes, I love to cook food that's my favorite things to do in my life. I learn to cook since when I'm 14 years old. When I'm in high school at the same time I'm working as a housemaid.

I started cooking at a very early age. It started with just helping mum to bake cakes and biscuits and grew into something that I love and adore to do today. I am a housewife too so cooking skills are very important. Creating a dish and seeing others enjoy eating is can be a really great feeling. One thing you have to do colydf is to be confident with your food. Start out with some really simple recipes and follow them directly. Before long you will be adding things to those recipes or replacing certain ingredients with others.
