hello carrine, based from my own experience, the best time to go to NBI is right before they close, more like 4:30 pm to 4:45 pm, that way, most of the people are gone already, that's what i usually do when i was still in the philippines, worked for me so far ;)

Hi Carrine, i never had any bad experience getting or renewing my NBI clearance. I never had a "hit" meaning there is no other person same as my name. my hubby had a problem because there's a lot the same his name and some of them have cases. so he got his clearance from the main office. me i can renew even in the mall.

5 hours just for renewing your NBI clearance? Well, past is past the sooner you get over it the better. But this next time try the NBI kiosk at Parksquare in Makati. I heard it's faster. If the line is not that long, you can basically get your NBI clearance in minutes. This is good for those who don't have a "hit" in their names. BUt if you do, you have to go to the main branch. Take note, NBI is no longer in Carriedo but in Monumento, i just don't know the exact location.

HAHA. I think getting something from government institutions are always pain in the butt. It's hard to get ang NBI clearance because the line is always long. I live in quezon city and I had to wait for more than 3 hours just to get my NBI clearance. What's worse is that when you have a person who has the same name and has committed a crime. You waited for so long but you won't be able to get your clearance because they have to check if your really the criminal or some other random person with the same name

Just renew your clearance in malls, it takes me less than 10 minutes even if the line seems long. Less hassle and you can get a bit of shopping done if you have that planned as well. Though I think this wouldn't apply if you have someone with a similar name since they'll ask you to go their main office which would be more of a hassle. Hope that helps

carrine, I suppose the waiting time is inevitable since this clearance is mandatory for your working population. However, I just cannot help wondering why such clearance cannot be done online which is less time consuming and most of all labor intensive.

hello carrine, that's the worst problem if you don't have any connections, you got to go to the line and endure a lot of hours waiting here and there. must be hard working as CSR too. well, at least they didn't make you come back for the next day, that's even worse, besides corruption is nothing new in the Government agencies.

When I was getting my NBI clearance, the officers told me to claim it after 3 days. I came back as they said and then told me that I have to be back next week for my clearance. Now did that piss me of? IT DID. BIG TIME. No wonder our government has been moving backwards and been lagging behind other countries.
