Hristo Stoichkov is the most successful Bulgarian footballer so far. After he wins the European Golden Boot with CSKA by scoring 38 goals in 30 games,he moved on to FC Barcelona. As part of Johan Cruyff's 'Dream Team',Stoichkov helped Barcelona to one of the most successful era of the club,winning the Primera Division four years in a row between 1991 and 1994 and the European Cup in 1992.He wins The Spanish League one more time in 1998, Spanish Super Cup in 1992, 1994, 1996, European Super Cup in 1992, 1997, Copa del Rey in 1997 and UEFA Cup Winners Cup in 1997. In 1994 he was named European Footballer of the Year after leading his national team to the 1994 World Cup semifinals. At the 1994 FIFA World Cup,Stoichkov was the top goal scorer of the tournament with his six goals. He also played for Parma - Italy, Al-Nassr - Saudi Arabia, Kashiwa Reysol - Japan, Chicago Fire and D.C. United - USA.
