apparently the deal fell through with GM and an chinese company that was thinking of buying it so no more hummers! honestly im not sad.. they were too bulky and i swear everyone that had one that i came across were people that couldnt drive! not to mention bad for the environment!!
will yo miss the hummer? do you think its size or impact on the environment made the deal fall through?

I have no idea what made the deal fall, nor do i care...i am just glad there will be no more Hummers...I hate those things....there eye sores...and why on earth would your average joe need a vehicle originally designed for military purposes??? Who really needs a vehicle that big????

There is a big difference in a pizza and a huge nonsensical vehicle.

Heck no! I hate hummers! Not only do they look like army tanks and hog up the road with their HUGEness, but they are also known gas guzzlers and are, like you said, HORRIBLE for the environment. This will be doing the world a favor if you ask me!

No more land yachts, YEA!
Those things were like mobile homes that never settled on a lot.
With the present problems with gas it's no surprise they're not selling. Not only can people no longer afford them they can't even afford the gas. Those things couldn't pass a gas station without stopping.

yeah i know... like i said to the person above when our city ran out of gas i would get so pissed when i would see them and boats filling up when there was a two hour wait for gas and my hubby with a regular car barely able to get gas to get to work

I don't know that it's impact has been as great as has been hyped. Yes it was a big vehical but it was sold in small numbers compaired to a lot of other cars. I don't know that I would have chosen one myself, even if I could affor it, but it sure would have been nice for the winters up my way.

yeah i would have to agree i would have prob sold my soul for one this winter.. i have a newer car that i got and it cannot handle ice or snow or even rain! i thought i was upgrading to a better car and it handles not even half as good as the cheap small one i had.. at least i would have been able to drive around and get out of my drive way with a hummer

I don't know that I'm sad to see them go, nor do I know about anything about them being bad for the environment. I know around here they are more of a status symbol and not used to their full potential.

it drove me nuts when our city ran out of gas and we had like only a handful of gas stations with a half a million people in the city and people would fill up their hummers and then even boats and there would be an hour or two line before you could get gas.. maybe that was the only car they had but if it wasnt i think its pretty messed up that they would take a gas guzzler and a boat to get gas when other people cant even get to work because they cant get any at all
