Why should the boys always....???

Almost in every case of love proposal, why is it the boys who go and propose to the girls? Why don't girls do the same, I have always wandered over this question but have never found a satisfactory answer till date.
Anyone who can satisfy me....

I think if a women chases after a man, this is something that is disliked and can sometimes kill the attraction. Maybe because men like to hunt and not be hunted. Also i think men don't like to be pressured into anything. Women what to settle down more often then men do. So as a type of self respect, a women waits to be asked.

i agree somewhat with you but see again that it violates some part of the meaning of love. It has become a common perception that a boy only proposes a girl, just imagine the number zero, the most significant digit in the whole number system, ever wondered why is it called so!!!

i think because of the gender biases...
