Someone you know who you have never met

Do you ever feel like you know someone really well, but never met them? In my case, my husband had a wonderful great grandma who lived with him and his family when he was younger. By the time we started dating, his beloved great grandma had passed away. I've heard so much about her that I feel like I know her even though I've never met her! Do you have anyone like this? Please share!

I know what you mean sometimes you hear so much about a person you feel like you know them even if you never met them,or never get to meet them,and one of my friends has a sister who I have never met but the way him and his mom talk about her whenever me and my wife are over there is it almost like I already know her since I have heard so much about her,and they do not get to see her often since this sister lives in a state kind of far away,but they told us if she ever comes to visit them then they will let us know,so we can come meet them,which I think it would be fun to meet them.

I think it's so neat how you can feel like you know a person just by what other people say about them. In your case, I'm so interested to know what you think of your friend's sister that you will have to come back to this discussion if you ever do meet her. That is really neat! In my case, the inspiration for this discussion is my husband's great grandma. She passed away about seven or eight years ago, but to hear my hubby, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandma, and sister-in-law talk about "Great Grandma Owen," I feel like I really do know her! They told me how much she would've loved me and how, if she were still alive, we would sit together and talk for hours. I'm so excited to meet my Grandma Owen in Heaven someday! I know it sounds weird, but it's almost surreal. Thanks so much for your response. I thought at first that there was no hope for this discussion, but then you came along and made my day! If I ever do meet her I will definitely come back to this discussion and I bet she would have loved you because you are such a nice person,and I am glad I was able to make your day,and I am always happy to read your discussions and then give my input, you take care as well,and I look forward to responding to you more in the future.
