I strongly agree in this simple yet very true quote that i read somewhere. Pets will not be your whole life, there will always something or someone that would occupy your time and heart but having a pet makes our life worth living. I know you will agree with that, actually i myself has been a living example, i never had a pet before so i use to laugh at those people who are very attached to their pets but i was changed when my lady boss gave me and my boyfriend a Pomeranian puppy. T We never know that this cute little thing could make a lot of difference. In an instant he became part of our life and he really went straight into our heart. He is our stress buster and our dear little playmate. Now we treat him like our own child and we know that our lives will never be the same again and will never be complete if he's not with us.

Hi djmarion..LOVE this discussion, LOVE the quote!! I like you already!! I feel the exact same way,(and by the way, I had a Pomeranian, Katie, for 13 years..she was the love of my life and I still miss her today) I now have 2 dogs, rescues and I can not imagine my life without them. I've only had them for about 7 months and I can't remember life before them!! They have brought so much love to our home and they just make my day, everyday!! Its amazing that they love you back, so much, and its the only real unconditional love I've ever experienced..truthfully. Its such a great feeling to come home and have them waiting by the door, patiently for it to open. The greeting that I get is overwhelming and it dosen't even matter if I was only gone for 30 minutes..they act like I was gone for a year!! My mom just turned 84 and she is alone now as Dad has passed. I am thinking about getting her a dog..I'm not sure she could handle a puppy but there are sooooo many older dogs that need good homes at the humane society, already potty trained etc. I just know she would love the company and what better company could I give her? The only part I dont like is having to go to the humane society because I want to take every one of them home..My husband will kill me if I get another one but its so hard to go there and look at those faces saying,,"Please take me!"..I'll let you know,,I'd love to find a Pomeranian..perfect size for her and they are so smart and good with everyone..Wish me luck in my search!!

The quotes are really true based through my experienced since I was a child and learned to take care and love my pet dog like a human. I felt also love from them in return because they respect me as there friend and who cared for them so much. We have so much bonding everyday like what you said there are stress buster and sometimes I tell them my problems silently and talked to them like a friend. Even though they can't speak I know they understand me. Thats why I love them so much.

Awww! He is precious - and I love the name! Bolt is cute! And the quote is so true. I have two Shih Tzus (Patches and Ringo) and they are a major part of my life. I cant imagine a life without a dog in it...I just cant. They are so loyal and intelligent and full of love. Patches is getting old and I just cant bear the thought of him dying, but I know that I will never forget him. I am hoping to breed Ringo so that I can have one of his puppies as a friend of mine has one of Patches' that I can go see whenever i want. I just know that no matter what, a dog will always be a part of my family.

Pets sure do make life worth living. I have 8 horses, 8 dogs and 2 cats. I would not have it any other way even though it is a lot of work sometimes. I need pets in my life. I would never be without.

The effects of having PETS to human being have been the reasons for so many scientific studies and research. It came out that there are so many benefits a person can derive from a pet. Some of good things about a pet: 1. Pets encourage social contact between people. 2. Petting drops blood pressure (accdng. to research) 3. Pets provide a way for young people to learn empathy and nurture behaviors. 4. Reduces stress. 5. Pets stave off loneliness and provides unconditional love.

Right on. We are not one of those couples who go overboard with our pets, but we do love our cat like he is our kid. Well, he is our kid, since we do not want to have kids of our own. However, he's still a cat and we know it. LOL We love him and take care of him, but we don't go overboard.

I totally agree. I have had pets most of my life. There has always been a little one for me to love. Pets love you no matter what. They are loyal and they are always there. No matter what happens they are there for us and we are there for them too. I have 4 babies now, my rotti Ninja, and 3 min-pins Bailey, Ozzie, and Jackie. I also have a ferret and she is just as spoiled as the boys are. Her name is Miss Noodle Girl.

I definately agree with you on this topic. I myself are an animal lover. I have 2 dogs of my own, also I have birds. The rest of the family all have pets as well. Including rabbits, turtles, birds, dogs and fish. We all have our own attachments to our own pets but love them all. I also believe that it has taught my children alot of responsibility. It is nice to see that you got to experience the joy of a pet.
