I was forced to use Windows Vista unknowingly when I purchased this laptop. Had I known that I would not be able to get Windows XP drivers for this laptop, I would never have purchased it. Windows XP or Windows 98 Service Pack 2 were my favorites.

As PC user since 1995 I was using Windows operating system becuase I found it more user-friendly and easy to operate. But right now I am using LINUX operating system on my Dual Core advanced PC. But at the same time I have installed Windows XP Sp3 also. Mostly it is LINUX that satify my all the day-to-day needs as well the Internet Services. On the otherhand I use XP for multimedia application, movies and 3D gaming. XP has great power and speed for these tasks. I can't leave Windows and at the same time don't want to avoid LINUX which is the new generation OS.

well, there are many closed and open source operating systems available .. open source products are always safe and secure and they are completely free, but they need a prior knowledge to operate on.. Closed source OS are user friendly, but they are pretty costly and they can be protected with some antivirus definitions.. as of now, i'm using windows 7 ultimate a product from microsoft which i bought it for $260..
