have you ever watch movie or tv series that insult the government indirectly? will you watch that type of movie? well, i managed to watch some movies (from the same director). It's like normal drama movie but the producer are using the government policy in the country as the topic of the story. It is the way of the producer to protest to the government to pay more attention to the people. Some example are: differentiation of students in school. Those that is smart are grouped into a class, those that is in the middle in another class and the stupid in the other class. Then all the teachers and parents are supportive to the smart class and force their kids to at least be in the middle than go to the stupid class. It makes a trauma to the kids and force the students to lose their happy childhood either for smart one (to maintain being smart), middle one or stupid one. (wow... its long description. get what i am trying to say??") what do you think. Should you go with this type of movie?

You know my friend, movie in that particular scenery is very unpleasant but it is really true that government should be awake in what they are trying to implicate to the public... Your government and our government is the same where rampant corruption is happening in all the corner...

You know cintoy, the form of government we have today most specially of the countries is poor. The government official is dump and blind. They are not listening on what is the grievances of the people and they don't like to see on what the people suffering from poverty and other form of insufficiency to the needs of the public... Even do you put a big screen in the plaza or in front of the resident of the president there is nothing to happen...

yup.. it's happening even in the tiniest village. But i would support this type of movie as at least government will know what they have done (slightly) wrong and people who didn't know the issue will be likely to find out what's happening.

LOL... the movie you are describing sound familiar... haha... Seems to be from "I Not Stupid", there is a part 2 to the movie too... I have watch a series of these similar "motive" movies from the same director from my country. Not too bad as it directs towards some of my countries' policies and regulations. Most of our citizens can relate to it very well... Some of them even continues to be one of our TV drama, though not so popular as we get bored of it. Most of us, including myself, watch it out of fun and looking back at ourselves and laugh about it. As the topics the director touched on are always the subject most of our citizens are either discussing or complaining about. I even heard a rumour saying that the director is been watched closely by the government. Heard they are trying to catch any slip up he may have made and take the opportunity to detain him if they have a chance. Not sure if that is true... haha... Come to think of it, my government can be quite strict and stubborn about some rules and regulations.

I don't like to be preached at by movies, education or media.. In our country it's not anti gov but usually anti one party and all for the other.. I don't think that has anywhere in 'news' media or in education! people after power like to use whatever they can to sway the people. And if you don't march in step w/ everyone, it's you who's supposedly brainwashed! - I don't know how it is in your country.. besides what you shared of course, but just wanted to take this opportunity to vent a little!

THanks for responding. Well, in the movies i am talking about is not really about preaching. It is more to a drama movie but the director are taking government rules that most people are having trouble to comply with into the movie.

I think in general movies like this provoke people to think about what's going on in the world and in their government, so I would say it's usually a good thing.

You think it is a good thing. Same as i do. I believe government needs to know as well how us, the people, perceived their decisions and rules.

our country had been governed by a dictator for more than 20 years. and there were a lot of bad things that that government gave the people. at that time, there was martial law, so you cannot just make movies against them. but when that government was replaced by a better one, there were movies to feature the bad things that that government had made. until now, there are still movies that talks about the bad things that old and even the present government had given to the people.

it is nice that things are getting better now, right? well, the movie consisting of critics and suggestions about the present government are encouraged (i think) so that we can have better government and government can easily know the people's needs.

I guess it is common for American movie... it depends the society or culture. We can't say which is good or bad. If only the movie doesn't insult our current gov, then I am interested to watch. The country should stipulate more to keep social stability, movies can be influential to some people.

well, how about if the movie is criticizing our current government? Will you watch it? fyi, the critics are true and not just some opinions from certain parts of people.

ya i have watched many movies like that and have felt that the government or the people who vote wont realise things and all.i like such type of movie because movie is a great medium to reach everyone so some stupids who doesnt even know their rights they have in that country will come to know that and will be cautious in selecting the candidate.upto me where ever the country is undeveloped the government holds the full responsibilty but the selection of government is on the peoples hand so everyone should focus to a develped nation.am sorry i dint get your story but generlly its a good topic.
