Have you ever tried forcing yourself to pray and yet you're too lazy to kneel down and preferred to stay in sleeping position?

What matters how sincere is the prayer. not the position you choose to pray.

Yes, I have as a matter of fact. :) On my knees looking up and everything. However, you don't have to. Some prayers are different than others, so in my opinion you need to pray how it feels more natural to you,not forced. The key here is not to "impress" God but rather communicate with him.

the position of prayer is not all about the physical position of prayer but that of the position of the heart in prayer. With a bowed heart that is humble and repentant, full of thanksgiving and praise as well as a heart that is sincere... this is the position in prayer that God is after. forced prayer and your heart and mind is not in it but rises out of "obligation" is not prayer at all. is it pleasing? no! if you were God of the universe, the Father who loves his children so much and you gave everything to them, do you ask that they give you the same tings? No. But you would be very pleased when they take time to thank you and talk to you. You would be pleased when your children don't just go to you when they are in trouble but when they are happy as well. As a parent you just take great joy knowing that they value your presence.

I always lay down when i'm praying especially when praying the HOLY ROSARY. the position while praying doesn't matter, what matters is the sincerity of our prayers. happy mylotting!

I actually very rarely kneel down to pray, although I do try to bow my head. The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing, and for women to cover their head in prayer (1 Corinthians 11:1-16) I cover my head, and pray through out the day, but especially at night, when the house is quiet, my many children are asleep and I can THINK!!

I tend sometimes to be too tired to kneel down. Getting down to kneel is a small act but sometimes I just don't feel well to have to get up, so I pray laying down. Like the guy above me, I beleive also that a prayer is prayer, being sincere is all that matters.
