I bet you missed this one yesterday.

Yesterday while congress was questioning Fed head Ben Bernanke he was ask an off the wall question by Ron Paul. We all know that Paul hates the fed, and would love to see them eliminated. He asked Mr. Bernanke about money that came from the Watergate slush fund, being used to support Saddam Hussein. Mr. Bernanke blew this off and never answered this question. Has anyone on here ever heard of this theory before, and do they know any FACTS about this?

I missed this yesterday. I was watching the healthcare summit. Honestly I have never heard of this. I will check back and see what X comes up with. Seems if it was untrue he would have just said NO. But then maybe he just loves to ignore Ron Paul because he knows that Paul hates the Fed and wants to abolish it. Who knows on this one.

I know that he doesn't like Ron, and Ron doesn't like him. But, I can't wait to hear what this is all about.

Interesting....no, this is actually the first time I heard about it. I do find it curious that Bernanke blew it off rather than answering with a resounding "NO" however. I am going to wander over to my tin foil hat friends in a while and see what I can dig up on this though. If anyone knows about this they will. They may be "conspiricy nutters" but I get better and more accurate information alot of time from them than I do so called "main stream" news. I'll be back later in this thread, hopefully with some more info.

I have heard a lot of things, but I have never heard any connection between Watergate and Saddam. I can't wait to hear more about this.

Well, I got a little more indepth or at least cursory information. I won't begin to try and bullet point it as it looks kind of complex. First I have this article which touches on it. From way back... articles.latimes.com/1992-02-25/news/mn-2628_1_foreign-policy Then connecting more dots we have this from Congressman Paul's website. It's a letter from professor Robert Auerbach, of the LBJ School of Public Affairs, University of Texas. www.house.gov/apps/list/speech/tx14_paul/Auerbach.shtml Then I have this article from Prison Planet (take it for what you will and double check claims).. www.infowars.com/professor-auerbach-provides-more-evidence-of-feds-coverup-regarding-watergate-and-iraq/

Debater: I just wish I could have done a little more dot connecting. But this was definately enough to make me go hmmm. One thing I have learned pretty hard core in the last several years is that the rabbit hole often goes much deeper than we want to admit or believe. As I have said in previous thread, people can say what they want about the tin foil hat crowd...but I get more solid info from these guys than anywhere else sometimes. Sometimes the guy on the corner with the "the end is near sign" isn't so crazy as we think. Lil...I went to read the article you posted and it's gone. The pragmatic in me wants to say they were just cleaning old articles. The skeptic in me raised an eyebrow though at it's diapearence a couple days after this all comes to light.

WOW, now I have heard of Baker and Bush's role in the first Iraq war (Baker told Saddam he had the right to defend his boarders, but when he did, Bush was "shocked" that he did that, and we had to go to war with him). We all know that Bush played a role in Saddam coming to power, and many people believe that our CIA put him in office. But, I have never seen anything like this in my life, and I wonder what Ron Paul hopes to do with this information. I am sure that Bush doesn't want this information out, nor does the government as well. Thanks for all of your hard work on this topic X.
