I pray 'The Lord's Prayer' or sing it everyday, morning and night. Just recently, I study it carefully. There are 10 clauses in the Prayer. The first is 'Our Father Who Ark In Heaven 'meaning Our God is supreme. The second clause is ' Hallowed Be Thy Name' introduces us te God's name, Jehovah. The third clause is 'Thy Kingdon Come' meaning there is a kingdom of God. The fourth clause is 'Thy Will Be Done On Earth As In Heaven', refering to earth. The fifth clause is 'Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread' meaning to supply our needs. The sixth clause is 'And Forgive Us Our Sins As We Forgive Each One Of Those Who Sin Against Us', refer to the sinful nature of human beings. The sixth clause is, 'Lead Us Not Into Temptation', is an appeal for spiritual guidance. The seventh clause is' But Deliver Us From Evil, speaks of the final deliverance that will come. The eighth clause, 'For Thy Is The Kingdom ,Power And Glory', is the affirmation that all glory and power belongs to God. The nineth clause is ,Forever, And Ever', speaks of complete cycles. The tenth clause, 'Amem, Amen, Amen ', refers to praises to God. Can anyone help me along and elaborate on 'The Lord's Prayer'.Thanks.

as what i understand the lords prayer, its like we know that the lord is in heaven and we praise him. then we know that things will happened according to his will, and to give us his blessing everyday and to forgive all that who sin us as well us our sin to others so we can live a life without doing bad things that will ruin our life specially hurt other people's feeling. and that we must only believe in him as our only god and no one else as he can do all things. but then, our personal prayer still the best prayer coz it comes from our heart and not just be memorize and recited.

thanks homeshopper and i appreciate your clarification. i like this prayer as it covers all aspects of life and living. i talk to God and i have a personal prayer or request to Him, usually of specific nature.i pray for family members, friends, the church, my neighbours, my nation or i pray about lately, the Haiti disaster and pray for God's mercy and grace. i prtay that the Good Lord bless us all and keep us. i give thanks, praise and glorify Him always.
