If you buy a new phone, or a vacuum cleaner, or a TV, you have the patience to read all instructions in the user manual or just beginning to discover what your new acquisition know to make? Some would zoom in straight to the product and try to figure things out themselves. Others would not even start without first reading from the first page to the last. Do you keep all manuals for use of all electronic and household appliances that you bought over time? You like to discover your own, to play with your new device, or you will read before all the instructions for use?

I like playing with my devices. I read the manuals as well so not to ask others. Its like you have to be independent on knowing the quirks of your gadget. I also love it when I explore it then find something new. I don't really ask others about the devices that I have but I'm eager for them to just tell me new tricks about... I love the feeling of discovery... It makes me fulfilled when I became aware of something on my own...

mostly i will read the manual for a few minutes and trhen i get bored and then i by myself will start using that device instead of seeing the manual . if i get some doubt or dont know something about the device then i will take the manual and read that thing alone . mlost of the times i wont read the manual . it will be good if they give everything in short at the last page .

Definitely try it first and then refer to the manual if it doesn't do what I expect .As long as i can locate the "on" switch I'm away! I like the experimenting and those "Oooo! I didnt know it did THAT" moments. My husband will sit for hours reading instruction manuals. Its the same for things like board games. (I'm not a big fan of them but will sometimes play to be sociable) He will read every page of long complex rules whilst i just want to slap the playing pieces on the board and get on with it.

i use to love to discover new things on my own, until much later on i would find out i either broke it because i ws too lazt to read the manual or the product was able to do way more cooler things. so everytime i buy somebthing new i try to skim thru the manuel and read thru it so i dont break it or miss out on anything it can do

its good to read complete user / instruction manual of new category of product. E.g. if one is first time buying microwave oven, and know nothing about it, reading manual will help. But in some cases it may not be needed,e.g. in case one is changing one's mobile phone, reading complete manual may not be necessary for new phone model. In may case, it depends on my knowledge about the product in general, that decides weather i read complete manual before use of product or i experiment of my own.

The notion is true and too good. The operating manual of manufacturers assist us in considerable detail the working as well as the efficacy of operation.

i would normally read through the instruction manual first, especially if it's a new gadget or electronic device. taking time to read the manual saves a lot of time from figuring out how things work. if the manual is thick or like a booklet, perhaps i won't read from cover to cover... first, i usually read through the basics, perform simple operations and then re-read complicated instructions to make sure i do them all right the first time. keeping the manual after reading it is also a necessity for future reference.

Yes, i will always prefer to read the instruction booklet, before i begin to use the new products. I am trying my best to read first the instruction booklet, to make sure that i am taking good care of the new product. Besides, i am always keeping all the manual booklet, for my easy reference whenever i need to refer it in the future. I think that's the safest way to operate the new electronic and household appliances.
