Australia won the match easily by 6 wicket, as the NZ were restricted for 118 by australian bowlers.
australian pacer shaun tait bowled well to restrict NZ to a small target.
and as the total was small aus achevied it with six wicket in the kitty.

Though the Australians are not a feared proposition in the world of cricket after the retirement of Magrath,Warne and Gilchrist yet they have a bench strength which is much stronger than most cricket teams in the world.This is what we are witnessing at the present moment.The CA is going through a team building process and still they are winning matches with great deal of ease.The recent T20 result shows that Newzealand is no match for the Australians.The balance of the Australian T20 team is fantastic.They have brilliant fielders,true fast bowlers,fantastic allrounders and brilliant batsmen who can tonk even good balls for runs.So, the result is not at all surprising.

ya you are correct the banch strength of australians are very good, specially in t20 they are a well composed team, with some god all rounders like watson.
