Have you ever joined a book club?

The type of "book club" I am refferring to is the kind where a group of people read the same book and get together to discuss it (Not the kind where you subscribe to something and get free books every month). In the past year or so, I have become a total book worm and have become interested in writing myself- I have come to the point where I borrow tons of books from the library and fill notebooks with essay-worthy worthy notes and quotes from them. ///

Yes, I have joined, but I've only gone to one meeting. I went to a meeting and had fun, but I couldn't finish the second book. It just didn't do anything for me except give me a story idea. The third meeting is this Monday and I was planning to go, but I haven't finished the booked and I have to go the mall and buy new luggage because I'm traveling on Saturday. I am in desperate need of a new suitcase.

Actually since three years ago, I am looking for a book club in our place because I wanted to join this group, but until now I couldn't find one, so I talked to some of my friends who are also avid readers to start a book club, but none of them are interested, so I was greatly disappointed and just contented reading alone and if there's something I want to share and discuss about what I read, I just wrote a book review and posted on my blogsite.

I had joined one. They had had a few meetings. I wasn't in there. That was because I was very busy. One of my colleagues who is into it for a longtime- had only introduced me to that club. He is now planning a similar veture as a twosome, for expecting many to be there is making these things non starters.

There are plenty of book clubs online! I go to some periodically to read reviews of books that I read, just to find out what others think of them. You can even go to Amazon for that reason. Sometimes I discuss with my best friend. She doesn't always have much opinions, but we sometimes read the same books.
