Escape from boredom-what do you want to do?

We don’t like the feeling of boredom. It starts when you have no interest in what you are doing or supposed to be doing. The early signs are procrastination and it can quickly lead to frustration and despair. Boredom numbs the mind and exhausts the body; ultimately it is soul-destroying. So I want to have escape plan, such as I give myself a special gift. This is different to what I might first think - it's not the latest gadget or electronic toy but something much more valuable. What I do is to make a date with inspiration. Plan to set aside a block of time to do something that inspires me. Smell the fresh air of forest or have a picnic. What do you want to do?

When I'm bored, I like to call my mom and ask her out to lunch. She usually has so many things to talk about during lunch, I forget that I was bored. (She usually has projects for me to do, too. Not that I don't have any of my own...it's just more fun to do hers.)

Well I have a bored live, sometime I just watch ceiling and do nothing till I got hungry, I think go for a picnic not a bad idea, but my best way to avoid my bored live is take a walk in a county side and watch another person live

When I feel bored I go in to the hall to get my dog's leads and harnesses. Then I take them for a walk. We live near a riverside path leading to green fields. I can go for a drive to the coast and then watch my dogs enjoy running over the sand dunes. I love to read books and write stories. If I have a headache a drink of water and fresh air often helps. To inspire me I look at my travel photos. I think a picnic in the woods is a lovely idea. It is upsetting to feel frustrated and I hate to experience procrastination. Going on to My Lot is excellent for the mind and walk is superb for the body. Reading is super for the spirit. I go on a day trip to Glastonbury then I feel happy and inspired.

I usually just take a nap or spend some time lying on my bed just relaxing, and thinking about the world. It sounds pretty boring, I know, but it gives me entertainment. Sometimes, I try to write a piece of literature too, using the thoughts that I have made through the relaxation stage.

If I get bored I go out and visit a friend and together we go to the mall to eat and shop. If I want just to stay at home and escape boredom, I will get my photo albums and see old and recent pictures.

I very seldom feel boredom coming on because I'm the type of person that needs to be busy all the time. However if I feel a hint of it coming on I just find something to do to keep me busy. It can be anything from playing with my granddaughter, baking, reading, playing games on the computer, or watching a lifetime move and munching out. I usually plan my days ahead of time so that I will be busy for the entire day to avoid getting bored.

When I am bored, I look around the house to do something new. But sometimes this boredom turns into frustration and then I just leave the house and go for window shopping.

nip boredom in the bud. dont let boredom grow and flourish. ask yourself why you are bored. be honest and kind with yourself and do an emotional amd mental checkup to find the causes of boredom. is it the work that is weighing you down and you are getting into a rut. whatever the situations and reasons, snap out of it and start moving. its a sinking, stale and lethargic feeling but you have to get out of it. dont remain stagnant there and have self pity ( hopefully you are not). get out and get fresh air. call a friend over to chat or go out to a movie, outings etc. its not a good idea to go shopping just to get something or to spend money and run up your credit card bill. its not a solution as you may not need the items that you have purchased. keep your money tight.perhaps you need to develope a new interest/ interests/ hobbies like join a toastmaster club and go for public speaking. or join youth clubs or the royal ranger club or join in the activities of a local church. or even a drama class. or take up photography and take photos of sceneries, food, weddings and family gatherings just to mention a few. ask yourself what you are interested in where you want to learn either for self development or for exercise or both.get busy and learn and you will discover more of yourself and hidden talents. dont just sit in the 'rocking' chair as it rocks and get you nowhere. i am sure you will and you can find something worthwhile to do and to enjoy. neverknow, it will bring you income too.

If I am bored, I will stroll around and find something to drink like shakes, milk tea or others. Odd but that is how I live my life LOL :D
