Earthquakes in Japan and Chile

There was an 8.8 magnitude earthquake that devestated Chile on Saturday. Now there are Tsunami Warnings.
Another earthquake hit off the coast of Japan this one measuring 6.9.
With all the violent weather we've had lately, it's like the earth is falling apart.

I really do not know. I think it is one of the natural phenomenon happening every now and then. I think this has happened in the past and it may happen anytime. I hope that it is not the signs that you described but let us just pray and hope that things would be better for everyone.
