why does kakashi have a sharingan?

question says it. And also why does he only have it in one eye/ why does he have to keep it covered most of the time?

It's because of an incident when kakashi has just promoted. His frined obito saved his life and because of that suffered a grave injury, because of the his friend asked rin to implant his sharingan to kakashi.

I'm not really sure but... I think it's because he once lost his eye and they replaced it with the eye from one of the members of the Uchiha clan.... Not sure about it...
