do you blow air to hot food or wait for it to cool before eating?

the question says it all. how do you handle food fresh from the stove? me i eat it even when its hot. the taste makes me endure the heat. it also helps because later the food will eventually cool so i like eating it that way. if it is noodles i get to blow it a few times because the soup is very hot but other meals i can eat without blowing. i might be born a lazy blower.

If I'm really hungry and I'm at home and alone at the table, I blow at my food. If I am sharing the table with somebody or if I am in a public place, i avoid doing so.

I rather leave it to cool for a while.lol.My boyfriend is able to endure the heat for the taste, but i was asking him how can he gets to taste it when is so hot and is like burning his tongue.Sometimes he even has a few bites from the food while is still on the stove without blowing or nothing.Maybe im a lazy blower too but i do got patience.

i do wait for it to gets warm enough to put it inside my mouth. but when my four year old son wanted to havea bite already then i blow air into his food. kids are not that good in waiting har har har. specially if he sees that it is his favorite food that is lying on his plate. so sometimes i do blow air on food but not for me for my son.

a very good question . well i like eating food hot and i wont wait to eat till the food loses some heat . i will always blow some air and will eat immediately . especially in the case of soup and all i feel that it wont be good if it loses some heat and thus i will have them by blowing some air .

yep the fun is lost once you let the heat of the food go away that's why i do the same as you. it can be depressing to eat a cold meal

Sometimes, when I'm eating alone and made my food, I normally fan my food to cool it down faster. But if I am in a crowd or should I say, dinner table with people, your family or friends, then I normally wait for it to cool down. Given that, a lot of people specially in my family that gets really irritated when people do that, and they think its nasty, it's because you really can't control when you blow air on your food, sometimes some saliva will just come out and it's really nasty, yuck! So I avoid these types of things to happen.

well i blow it slowly in a way that the saliva does not go out. i use fan too but now the air comes from the open windows because the old woman had hidden our fan.

hmm nice question. it depends, if i dont have much time i have to blow it so i can eat it. but if i have to be feminine and demure i will let it cool but not so cool especially if that food tastes better if it is warm..lol

i agree its more satisfying to eat it warm for it maximizes the flavor of the food. but unless there is time then have to blow it until it is cool. talking about food even keeps me from getting hungry. i feel satiated just thinking of it.

I do not blow on the food. I prefer to wait for it to cool down. If I'm starving only then maybe, I will blow on it ;-)

I like to blow air on the hot food because while doing that I take the aroma of the food. It really tastes better when you do that and apart form the aroma some food are better eaten when it is hot.

when eating at the restaurants the aircon is already running so it takes less time to cool the food and we dont have to blow. if not and if its only in carinderias, there is the electric fan swinging left and right so the surrounding is breezy and we dont have to blow our food. im missing those days.

I don't blow on my food to cool it down. For me, it doesn't really do much, and I know how it can annoy some people, so I just wait and let it cool down naturally and take small bites at a time

Hi, I don't think its healthy to eat foods too hot. It is absolutely enticing I know. Some dishes you won't even touch if without the heat. I don't blow my food. I just move those food pieces with spoon to cool it down. I really can't endure the heat, and I think I shouldn't. Take care

Me neither i should have meant slightly hot that i can endure. I wait for the food to cool a bit and when its not very hot thats the time for food kill.

hi! it depends on that how hungry I am, because if I am very hungry, then i will blow some air to cool it down, but if I am not I can wait for a while, or if it is cold out side, like during the winter I just take it out for a couple of minutes!

thats great if you allow the outside air to lend a hand with cooling your meal. in our country it is not that cold during winter but the breeze are powerful enough to reduce the heat of the cooked food. i could never forget my lunch at the treehouse which was 20 feet above the ground. the leaves are singing and the wind reaches the skin in varied amounts.

I usually do it on a hot rice. I can't eat rice that is smoking hot lolz. I even let it on a table for a minute and blow for a while like a birth day cake. I can't enjoy a rice meal that is hot in my tongue.

I tend to be really impatient when I cook at home. As soon as the food is done cooking I want to eat it. I tend to blow on it but this often isn't enough and I end up regretting it!

I like my food hot too. But if it's too hot, I blow on it. I do not like cool or cold food. If I'm visiting and the food is cool, I put it in the microwave to heat it. I'm like that with pizza. Anything that's supposed to be hot or warm, should be hot or warm before I'll eat it.

I just love eating food that is really hot. I guess I always preferred hot food ever since I was young boy. When I was younger and my mother made dinner for me, it was always served hot. Eventually it became natural for me to eat food hot. If the food prepared for me is warm and not really hot, I won't really eat it unless I am very hungry.

Ya i also blow air to hot food but depending on the situation. If i'm too hungry then i'll blow air to cool the food. If i can still bear my hunger pangs then i'll try to wait for it to cool down. Happy eating!
