Anyone have phone service with Vonage? What is your opinion

I am trying to cut expenses, and the home phone is what I am thinking about giving up. I already have a prepaid cell, and I don't want to be totally cell. I am wondering is Vonage a good replacement for a home line. Is the phone call quality okay?

My mother has used vonage for a long time now and I haven't heard any complaints from her about it. I know that when I call her I never have any problems getting through or with the quality of the sound coming to me from 1,000 miles away. I bundled my home phone with my internet and satellite television, which saves me some money every month.

hi...vonage is a voip service that requires broadband to work... it is actually portable that even if you travel outside the US...you can actuall bring it along with you and cut on your celphone minutes because you can make local calls out of vonage... and for security purpose.it has an enhanced 911 service i heard..and you can forward your incoming calls to your mobile phone too...=)
