what is to conform?

conforming means being influenced by other people with regards to ur attitudes and beliefs.. it happens with small groups and even the whole society.. my question is, why do we conform?what is to conform?why do we conform on such? AND LASTLY if there is different conformity in the society why do we have so called "STANDARD"?

Hi,
Confusion arises when you try to listen to different thoughts and opinions. We have made different constitutions for our countries, different religion and different cultures. Though it mostly depends on climate and topography, there are little differences in those opinions. In essence they are mostly the same. One should conform these parts that all civilizations share. This thing comes from right inside us. It is already inhabiting our soul. Its a wastage of time and energy to search it outside. One who is always at peace with oneself, is in true conformity with humanism.

thanks for ur comment, now lets take it into the deeper level, if i ask u what is ur image of a beautiful person(physically), what would be ur answer? the typical idea of a beautiful person will most probably have a beautiful place, sexy body, flawless skin.. where do you think we got this idea of admiring such characteristics? is it right to say that the contrary of what beautiful most people think, is ugly or unjust?

The inclination of our mind is outward. It means that our mind is naturally impatient and would like to try out something that will benefit in short run. Ignorance is inborn. Wisdom is achieved through positive in depth consideration for years. Everyone is a survivor. How many people you meet everyday can be categorized as truly wise thinker? Very few people have the patient and stability of mind to look beyond the appearance. But just because a million of people are doing something it doesn't mean that that is justified. You've already left a scope saying "most people".
